When I meet someone like that I’ll usually extend one empty hand, and my keys in the other. When they inevitably ask me what’s up, I then tell them that since they’re so interested in driving my rig is swap keys and take their vehicle while they show me how to drive. Never met anyone who’d acquiesce.

Wish I had telehandler when I cleaned out sheds instead of a four tine fork and a 3 ton trailer as for hedge cutting it does, not matter how fast or slow you go it's the skill of the operator,to leave a trim and neat looking hedge even if it has trees in them.well done George.

Hi George, great vid and totally agree with your rant. I operate a GPS enabled dozer and regular get told back in the day we didn't need GPS. I do agree that you can do it without GPS but it takes more time and is not nearly as efficient, also you don't need anybody in your work area checking grade. So improved safety on site. Keep up the good work andi I look forward to seeing a vid showing turnout for the first time this year with the cows.

Evening George , we have a lot of hedges/windbreaks around orchards down here that we cut, they are very high and we need to get over the top of them. Our 6.5 meter hedge cutter is at full stretch and so is your neck ,It’s very hard to sometimes keep straight ,auto steer would be a great advantage.

Totally agree with you george im 64 and auto steer /shut off is the biggest revolution in my time, if its there use it, no good been set in old fashion ways we use it hedge cutting, only had rtk for about 3 yrs my god i would retire if had to go backwards, started beet drilling with a fergy with narrow front wheels set at 56inches could look straight over top of wheel down mark easy then things got bigger so centre marking, until you have used it you cannot really comment, could go on and on about the advantages of it, dont look back move on.

Tell you what George : don't stress with this kind of people who have nothing else to do in life than whining about other's doing. I saw the hedge-cutting video and I haven't seen any problems. Doesn't matter the tools you're using, it does the job, that's the main thing. Could've been a Quadtrac at hedge-cutting, could've been some Claas wheel loader at mucking, where's the problem as long as it does the job. You keep going the way you like and don't let others ruin the day.

I agree mate. I’ve done bit of farm work but also used a telly on site. We had this lad that sed he could drive it and I was lifting tiles up on a roof. Anyway he had a go and ended up putting it through the roof with a pallet of tiles. The back of the telly was about 6 foot of the floor.

Count to 10 and chill George 🤣, most of us of ploughed, cleaned sheds, spread slurry etc, trimmed hedges and plenty more besides with much smaller less powered kit however times have changed, weather patterns seem different these days, time/ date restraints etc for hedge trimming less man power more ground to cover , so yes these days the majority of work is done with far bigger kit. I must admit there have been times when I have seen a 200+ hp tractor pulling what looks like a wheel barrow up behind for a little run about job in mid winter but if that's what wheels you have its what you use. Years ago when i did a fair bit of spraying it was all 12m booms now there are hardly any 12m tramlines , times have moved on. That shed looked a bit of a pig to clean but better with a tele handler then a tractor loader.keep them coming .

Just noticed with the boom on the telly tubby that you are still running that ridiculous jcb plastic tracking wiring carrier to the front hitch. Mine finally snapped after 2000hrs and I had the choice to either replace with the same abortion of a set up, or upgrade to the new version, which is the wiring incased in a hydraulic hose and ran up the inside of the boom just like all the hydraulic lines. Why bloody jcb used that crap in the first place is totally beyond me. And so is why they won't recall their poor design to replace it.
