Heartbreaking that young black artists have abandoned this AWESOME art form for weird poetry and electronic bongo drums. This Man wasn't an icon, or even a giant. He was a TITAN! So Great!

African American culture always pushes forward. It's why it is the dominant form of music in the world for the most part. But yeah, it's a shame more don't, but some younger ones do, take some time to find some of them. :)

Blues started in the Mississippi Delta from the descendant of slaves who lived doing the Jim Crow Era!! They were treated like crap, less than human, ni-- this and that, paid pennies on the dollar for picking cotton and other labor. But this did stop the GENIUS OF THE GIFTED OF YACOB AND THE BLUES WAS BORN!!!!! You say American culture we are NOT AMERICANS AND NEITHER IS OUR CULTURE.

The gypsy woman told my mother before I was born: “You got a boy child comin', he's gonna be a son of a gun. He gonna make pretty women jump and shout, then the world wanna know what this all about?” But you know I'm him. Everybody knows I'm him. Well, you know I'm the Hoochie Coochie Man. Everybody knows I'm him. I got a black cat bone. I got a mojo too. I got the Johnny Conkeroo, I'm gonna mess with you. I'm gonna make you girls lead me by my hand then the world will know that I'm a Hoochie Coochie Man. But you know I'm him. Everybody knows I'm him. Well you know I'm the Hoochie Coochie Man. Everybody knows I'm him. On the seventh hour, on the seventh day, on the seventh month the seven doctors said : “You was born for good luck”. And that you'll see I got seven hundred dollars and don't you mess with me. But you know I'm him. Everybody knows I'm him. Well you know we're the Hoochie Coochie boy. The whole round world knows we here.
