Everybody thought that Big George was invincible but Ali won this match with KO on Big George. Ali's punches were good controlled and fast. Ali was smart and had always a strategy. Foreman was like an uncontrolled bulldozer. But, Ali controlled the match like a good programmed tactical weapon and finally won this match. Ali was The Greatest Boxer of all Time. Foreman was also a great boxer, no doubt, with it's typical Big George powerfull punches. Thanks to the two legends for this unforgettable excellent match.! Im a boxer and I have been doing it for 3 years now. I just wanna say this man is the greatest of all time and he lived to be a true inspiration in my life. This man is why I box today. I got to talk with his grandson who recently turned pro about a year ago in boxing Nico Ali Walsh. I thought I was in his grandfather's presence because he just looked so much like him in a way and it was just a legendary experience. This fight has inspired me so much because Ali lost to Joe Frazier and Ken Norton and every one thought he was finished. But he came back stronger than ever and beat Joe and then whooped Ken Norton who had just got knocked out by George Foreman his last fight. They all said this fight was the end for Muhammad Ali, but he came through and proved everyone wrong. Knocking George out in the 8th round with like 25 seconds to go before the bell rang. My favorite quote is "Hard times create champions. Easy times create weak champions." Now I don't know who said that quote but I heard it once and it has always stuck with me. The point is Ali had to go through all sorts of shit after he lost those two fights, but he didn't let it phase him. He came back stronger showed what a champion is. Thank you Muhammad Ali. Praise be to you and god. Rest In Peace Legend.

Muhammad Ali's defense, hand speed and tactics were incredible against the bigger and more powerful George Foreman. Most of his punches found the target on George's face while George found it very difficult to land clean punches on Ali's face, hence he directed most of his punches to Ali's torso. These body punches might have finally worn off Ali had the fight progressed beyond Round-8. Ali's extensive experience proved too much for George's reliance on his physical superiority.

Foreman hit harder for sure but even George said he underestimated Ali’s physical strength. He wasn’t able to shove Ali around like other opponents. George had incredibly poor endurance. That was his Achilles heel and Ali knew it and took advantage. George fought a guy named Peralta in 1971. Peralta used the rope a dope and George almost lost because of endurance. Ali must have seen it. Ali being smart as well as fast got the job done. Ali had excellent endurance and could take it. This fight should have been Ali's last fight. He didn't need to take anymore punishment. That caused his punchy condition . It worsened his parkinson' disease. Know when to walk away. Thanks KZitem. I was very young at the time and there was no television yet in my country, so everyone was suspended by the ear to their radio transistors, either individually or in clusters with the sacred instrument of broadcasting placed in the centre of a yard for all to hear. The evening felt heavier and hotter than usual. We, youngsters, were playing football, satelliting around the adults to gauge their mood. We sensed that the issue of the match will determine any future happiness or grumpiness for weeks. It seemed like an eternity...we felt ignored by the adults, without fully comprehending how 2 perfect strangers, in a foreign (albeit neighbouring country) could summon the attention of a whole nation. Then the ROOOAAAAR. Like an earthquake. " Ali has beaten Foreman ". People screaming, crying of joy, kneeling in thankful prayers, scooping us lil'ones up to their shoulders, aw how many of us became Alis!❤❤ Never forgot that moment as a tiny little girl. And now, to be able to see the images, accompagnied by those mysterious voices that reached us through a radio, my emotion is at its peak. It is heavenly. So thankful. ❤🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Today's boxers like Joshua, Wilder looks so big but there are so rigid on their feet and styles. They only rely on punch power....but boxing is so much more than just blind punching....Ali was so nimble on his feet and his jabs were lightning fast. Ali is unbelievable, He's so strong here. Foreman has just inhuman strength, yet Ali just throws him around. Like the first Liston fight, Ali was given no chance, but he's just a master at taking Foreman's strengths and turning them against him. In retrospect, the knockout just looks inevitable. The body shots that Ali takes, would kill most fighters, his ability to take punches and slip punchers has never been equalled. Time magazine named him the athlete of the century, and they weren't wrong. No disrespect to Foreman either, he won back his title decades later in an upset just as huge.

Ali may have been very cocky, but when Foreman was wobbling and tired and was barely swinging Ali didn’t do much to him.

The way Ali fought Foreman was masterful, his best defense was his offense, he didn't run, and he wasn't intimidated by Foreman.

Ali took them body shots from Foreman like nothing. Haven't ever seen any fighter in any weight class take consistently hard body shots like Ali did. And that is why he is the GOAT.

George never wanted to admit that he was angry and frustrated that Ali had too much style and charisma and was a much harder puncher than people said he was. He did take his dance away but but the fight was also mental. Ali tormented him, live on t.v, upfront, and in Africa. 😂❤😊 Remember in Africa warrior mentality is to never give up and to fight to the death. If not you stamd to lose yoir family and assets as well ve ousted. 💯 "ALI BOOMBAYE"

Watching this and then thinking of the boredom of the modern heavyweight fights. The last excitement of boxing was watching Tyson at his peak and these “once in a lifetime” heavyweights from the heavyweight generation of iconic boxers. These times will never be repeated and the modern fighters are not “in the same ball park” as this generation Ali,Foreman, Frazier,Norton…..the list goes on and ends with Tyson at his peak

Ali's mid -section brings to mind an oxymoron... something like "flexible granite". Sheds punches with his shoulders and lightning reflexes, and no one had a better chin. The greatest defensive heavyweight ever... which allowed him to take out many opponents through attrition. Though not known for punching power, Ali possessed tremendous strength... able to tie up the biggest of men and push them back on their heels with ease. Just an exceptional athlete who would have excelled in any sport.
