Had the opportunity trying out the newest Cabrinha Swift 6’9 125L 2024 model.
Thank you Marco (from Wakestyle Loosdrechts )
In combination with my axis setup
Spitfire 900 - ultra advance - 350 progressive.
The board performs great in light wind circumstances. My axis foil set, is likely more suitable for mid wind conditions. But had to make it work.
Not sure what too think of it yet, or if its really something for me. But it was a fun experience.
Loads of volume, that even made me float. That was nice for a change. :-) I have many different surfboards and most of them all sink haha.
The outline is something special, like a canou, with a lower deck area to stand on. A big bump on the tail and pointy nose.
I placed my mast from the middle one cm forward. Which made me stand above almost to the rail/wall in front, from the upperdeck.
I should of placed it exactly in the middle for a better stance. Had to get used to the small surface area, especially in choppy waters.
The other guys were on a
Flygroove, AFS115, sunova aviator 145L
North 2024 wings with the boom and cabrinha vision 6.0 ‘2024. A cold winterday with friends on the water, testing all kinds of low wind equipment.
If id switch my AK phazer 90L for a downwind foilboard, i think it would be a dw board with around 100/110liters with footstraps inserts. The cabrinha swift does not have a footstrap possibility. Not sure if the smaller 100/85 liter models have that. For now I stick to my AK phazer(s) 90/65L untill ill find the perfect light-Mid wind foilboard to replace my AK90.
Does anyone have an idea what a good DW foilboard for me would be?
Let me know in the comments below.
Cu guys/girls on the water.
