Listen to the muaic: drums, alpenhorna, trumpets, and modern music. Also there are monks chanting since Munich means "place of the monks."

His name is Gunther Zahn. He was a champion long distance runner at that time.

Gunter Zahn 18-year-old West German junior athlete and a policeman, carried the Olympic Flame and lit the cauldron. He was followed by America's Jim Ryun; Kenya's Kipchoge Keino; Australia's Derek Clayton; and Japan's Kenjio Kiminara.

in 1972 the cauldron was lit by Günther Zahn. in 1936 it was lit by Fritz Schilgen.

Günter Zahn was 18 years old when he carried the torch in 1972. In 1936 he was -18. So yeah, same guy 👍🏻👏🏻
