My family’s last name is hated by Baltimore city. When these high rises were built my grandparents thought it was ok that their eldest daughter moved in to the new apartments. She grew up in the area before Murphy was built. I remember playing with a girl from New York she was visiting her family we had the same name. She just disappeared while we were outside and my friend found her dead in the dumpster. I’ll never forget her eyes, the life was gone. The light was gone. Brunt st is where my family originally came from. They called it Brew-in street. I didn’t know back then but it was the largest open air drug market. These people don’t know the real terrain. The wire only told about one situation that lasted years. This bs should not be glorified! Do you people understand what this did to the families of west Baltimore???!! DO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT AN ENTIRE GENERATION WAS DESTROYED?? CHILDREN MY GENERATION WAS LEFT TO FEND FOR OURSELVES AND WHEN THEY LEVELED THE HIGHRISES WE WERE ALL OVER AND THE CRIME WENT ALL OVER! I SAW WITH MY EYES WHITE COPS LEAVE COKE IN THE ALLEY. I’ve seen cops kill. I’ve seen street justice, I’ve seen it all in that damn city. I love Baltimore city. I’ve lost my mom, brother, cousins and Manny friends to the streets and the death Angel that waits for the lost souls willing to roll the dice. I’ve seen it all. I’m a homeowner in Baltimore and I don’t live there anymore, my family is still in west Baltimore. I won’t take the time to try to see the positive things because that city took everything away from me. They a demon over the city, whether you believe in that or not it’s true. A dark cloud of confusion and chaos lives over the city. Regardless of your character all you have to do is make a mistake and deal with the wrong people and you’ll be formally introduced to the devil himself. Drugs that you can’t get off, pain in your heart that makes you numb. The constant reminder of those that have left prematurely due to that dark presence. After the police murdered the 11th victim of the year in 2015 the city was almost burned to the ground. The demonic force is strong but We are stronger. If I didn’t have my own demons I would try to help but I can’t risk my life. My family needs me. If you want to know the truth about the situation there simply go downtown and speak with the oldest person you see abs you’ll hear what really happened and it’s not a secret. The people had help destroying themselves.

I think most Marylanders understand the weird fact that there are three(3) Baltimore,MD: Baltimore [County] Baltimore [City] Baltimore [County + City collective] If confused, a map of the latter will unravel this for eveyone else. 🤔
@auntemmyd1604
Жыл бұрын
I’m not sure what the collective is anymore bc there are now clear lines. The city also borders AACO where I live. The lines blur there too. Back in the day though the city and county govt blended, like the chief of police was so for both city and county. But not anymore. It’s sad that our city is back in turmoil again. Maybe worse than before. That Lady is a problem just like the parents today! Just talk to him! Ma’am he had two guns shooting at cops! You hang with dogs you get fleas! I’m sick of making excuses for poor behavior!

It never ceases to amaze me. Here you have a drug dealing murderer, shooting up the neighborhood that he’s been poisoning for quite a while, and the neighbors defend him and blame the police. Oh well, you get exactly what you ask for. When the police abandon you, you will be the victim of the poisoners.

@@BigSi-xw6wv Would Baltimore Md. qualify? Born and raised for 25 years. I was born at Mercy hospital on Calvert St. I hung all over the place from South, to southwest, to west Baltimore. I got my weed in sand town, I got my blow up in the jungle. I did my time at BCDC through my teens and early twenties. I’ve never once complained when the police busted my ass for doing dumb shit and terrorizing the neighborhood. You play the game, you suffer the consequences. Stop defending those terrorizing you neighborhoods, and the police will clean them up. Who cares if a person robbing and shooting innocent people is beat down in the process of apprehension? Not me. Did they care about your neighbors they were robbing and shooting? No!

Nah, my brother, you gotta get these people out or you can hang it up. We’ll all be living in a third world hell hole where you can’t even go to a store to get food. We’re very near it now.

Weren’t the cops really corrupt back then? There was less oversight too
@auntemmyd1604
Жыл бұрын
It was a different time. There has always been corruption. But I will tell you there is a lot less corrupt cops than you think. Unfortunately the bad apples seems to make the whole bunch rotten thanks to the media. I had both cops and criminals in my family. My Dad and Pop were police, and my aunt and uncle were criminals. My Dad will tell you about the corrupt ones and I will say this… Shit rolls down hill! The officers often take the fall for the ones that are really corrupt and tell them what to do and how they want them to do it! But you never really get the true story until many years later if at all! I get tired of hearing people badmouth cops while I watched my dad do a great job. I watched my dad and my grandfather buy ice cream for all the kids in the store. I watch my dad and grandfather help many many many people even when I was a kid people would walk up to us in the Grocery Store and hug my dad and tell us to listen to him and thank him because he saved their life when he arrested them. Not all cops are bad, like I said, a lot of of them are really great human beings, but the turds make it shitty for everyone! Also, I haven’t been an Angel in my Adult life so trust me I know both sides of the game!
