Off the beaten track in south-west New South Wales lies Kulcurna Station, the home of what could be Australia’s most picturesque Anzac Day dawn service.
Owner and operator, Paul Hansen, is a fifth-generation bushman with a deep connection to the land.
Since the late 1980s, he’s welcomed Murray River travellers, family and friends to his homestead to remember the fallen.
The sunrise beams a kaleidoscope of red, orange and yellow onto the cliffs as the Last Post plays through the crackling AM radio - it’s a dawn service like no other.
