what did you use for bait to catch reds? and how far down the jetty did you go?

Using the wrong type of bait for that particular spot, if you’re gonna walk that far might as well bring some live shrimp, and fiddler crabs so you can catch a better variety of keeper species. It’s well worth it if you have the right bait. I usually have about 3 different types of bait plus my artificial lures live shrimp are always a good bet everywhere you go with the exception of crabs and pinfish stealing your bait.

Weird question but how many people are on the jetty because I wanna do some shark fishing off the end but I dont want to hook an 8 footer and have to walk it past alot of people

its actually illegal to shark fish in horry county. Not sure if the jetty is within horry county or georgetown county, but i wouldnt shark fish there just in case.

We had to go through the park there and then walk along the beach to the jetty.
