I like watching your videos. I live in New Mexico where all is sand and heat and drops in temperature as well. It is good to see what works and what doesn't and what you try. Thanks for doing these.

Glad you like them, I had a hard time finding videos on this stuff so I thought I would make them. What are you starting to grow and what zone are you in?

@@flackfruit I am in zone 7a. I just started last spring. Right now I have a couple Persian mulberry, jujubes, goji, pinion, pecan, brown turkey fig, and royal empress. They made it through summer with the help of the shade cloth. I am also going to be getting pawpaw's, apricot, peach, persimmon, pomegranate, apple, and pear this coming spring. Basically, of it could be grown here, I am definitely going to try.

Do you cut them back every year? Thank you

Not for the first couple of years, I just pick off the tips of new growth that is lateral to stimulate vertical growth. Once they get to the wire and move down the wire then I will cut them back every year.

Better off buying gallon potted vines. I bought two of the bare root varieties from them... Lost both of them. They basically have no customer service outside of a text message. And that's not good enough
