Thanks Annie, for another in depth explanation on a difficult movement. I also struggle with my grip and it never cross my mind that I might be holding on too tight. I definitely keep that in mind, if it's not too much to ask can you PLEASE do a video on butterfly kippining pullup tips and progressions!?!? 😊 I've been trying to master it for ages, my one goal to really improve on. I really appreciate it and keep up the great work 📺 and amazing content... 👍🏻

The CrossFit community could really benefit from the calisthenics community for things like muscle ups. I personally like muscle ups as being a solely upper body workout, without momentum from the legs. I totally dig the tips Annie lays down though, different strokes for different folks. The muscle up world record set last year is prime example for the style I personally like. Have fun working out however you decide to do it!

I agree - take what you like from all different sports and make it your own. That’s a great attitude :)

That is a "trick" way to do it. If you want to develop upper body strength better avoid swinging and kicking etc. Just pull high enough you can do a transition to deep dip. I'm 46 now and I tied my high school record of 5 or 6 reps last summer (weird I can't remember which one it is :D ). Anyway I'll try for 6 pretty soon, at least if I manage to do some training and feel strong some day

Someone this strong, why do all that swinging? Use the upper body muscle not momentum.

Wait where is the muscle up? Crossshit. Muscle up without pull press nor any muscle, maybe quads?

Why do crossfitters love kipping so much lmao. Just do strict muscle ups. Wtf.
