I remember when Drones was going to release, and they released Psycho and Dead Inside. I was kind of worried that they'd make another 2nd Law. This isn't to say that the 2nd Law is bad (I'd argue the opposite but that's just my opinion), but they said that Drones would hearken back to their older music, and hearing Psycho and Dead Inside, I thought they must've been joking. Then they released Reapers. Literally right after the first listen-through of the song, I went, "Welp, never fucking mind." The rest of the album was really good, but Reapers is what made me put faith into it. This song is unbelievable. These guys are consistently solid. Every album they have is sound (no pun intended). There aren't any unanimously agreed on shitstains like other bands have. I could understand why anybody would say that any of their 7 albums are their favorite.

This one is for the bass guitarists out there. Don't you guys think that Chris' sound is a lot worse than in T2L concerts? I don't know if it's the quality of the video or just the EQ they use, but for me these concerts don't have a solid bass part, it's like Chris only complemented Matt's guitar riffs. It's horrible because Drones' basslines are bewing awesome

I think it might be something to do with the transition between the soundboard at the actual concert and the soundboard used to actually broadcast the show. The same sort of thing happened at Glastonbury 2014 for Royal Blood. I'm not really sure on it but from what I understand, the audience will hear the full volume, but the boradcast will lose some of the bass sound I think, but I'm not sure :)

+THINCOVER He indeed plays every parts live he just has a lot of fx automation sync to their in-ear monitors like on Unsustainable. His ability to sing and play at the same time is by the fact very impressive. Watching them being forced to playback is one evidence and very funny to see. Another evidence is that they have many songs that they have never or almost never play live because of the difficulty of playing and singing it at the same time. And yet he's still a very awesome musician.

That's music for you... some songs are hard on the instrument! I play some songs so hard that normal strings feel wrong, so I use far heavier ones for more resistance against the pick. Other songs, you play soft, just depends on the music! I suppose you could say at some points Hendrix was making love to his Strat, but other times... I don't even know a metaphor for incinerating your guitar on stage...
