In July 2022 we visited the Hovercraft Museum in Lee-on-the-Solent in the United Kingdom. The museum is located in Southern England, about a 1.5hour drive from London Heathrow Airport.
We started our journey on a bus just across the road from our hotel (Holiday Inn London Heathrow Bath Road) which took us to London Heathrow's Terminal 5. From there we took the Heathrow Express train to London's Paddington Station to connect via the London Underground (The Tube) to get to London's Waterloo Station. Here we joined a South Western Railways train down to Fairham Train Station and then hopped on a local bus down to the museum.
The museum features a large range of hovercraft, from early iterations of the hovercraft through the the jewel in the crown, the SR.N4 "The Princess Anne" which is the largest commercially built hovercraft!
If you'd like to checkout the museum yourself, I'd suggest checking out their website first at hovercraft-mus... to get all the details!
And if you would like to ride on the world's only commercial passenger hovercraft that is in the UK, check out @noelphilips's recent review on the Hover Travel hovercraft over to the Isle of Wight. • Flying On The World's ...
