my first ever sled was a Bravo and for sure, they are extremely reliable and very easy to fix and affordable too. I completely stripped mine down to the frame, cleaned everything and put it back together, very beginner friendly. Cheers

My son did the same when he bought a used one. He stores it inside and uses it often. Thanks for the comment.

Amen! Mine's a bit of a hard starter too at times but I'll give it that for its age!

When mine doesn't start it is because I drowned it. Holding the throttle full or partway, and cranking, clears the gas. Then it starts. Thanks for the visit. Your last video was the "raison d'etre" of mine. BTW: The Bombardier started pretty well, too. But I haven't owned it that long (3 years).

I just picked up a 2009 with 934 Kms/580 miles on it yesterday. Been looking for one for ages. This thing is in showroom condition. I’m so stoked. An awesome little sled!!

I love my Bravo. It’s great for the kids and I relied on my Bravo for the first few years of trapping. Now the kids use it 😊

They are extremely simple compared to the new machines. Not fast or comfortable - but dependable.

My father bought two bravos brand new in 1989 and we used them heavily for 25 years and they still fire up every time. Yamaha still made the long track edition up until like 2015 I believe, only available in Canada . Again could be wrong, but I know the 2010 or so bravo looked the exact same as the 1989 ones so parts were simple and easy. Light weight, great sled for work or kids who are too big for a 120 mini but not ready for a 600 or something.

The local dealer had one of the last new ones for sale here. It even had a reverse! Guy I know bought it for over 5000 Cdn. I remember thinking the price was outrageous. File that under "Things I regret not buying."

When I first read the title for your video, I thought a Bravo was some cute name for an animal 😁 Well, I see you take good care of your machinery 👍

If you are a dog and I get you, things will be alright. But if you are a machine? You'd better be tough! Bravo would be a good name for a dog. But the neighbours might think you are crazy if they see/hear you in the yard yelling, "Bravo! Bravo!"

Bravos are bullet proof. I have had mine over twenty years. Three pumps on the primer and it starts first or second pull.

Meanwhile, the Tundra name lives on for 2023....wonder why?
@edwinclawson438

@@coreynorman4531 Yeah, the Tundra name lives on, but it is a completely different sled. So you can hang the name on it but that is where the similarity ends. Sort of like the Ford Mustang Mach 1 vs the Ford Mustang Mach E. Both Tundras are great sleds. And Ski Doo did well to maintain the name. I think that both the old and new Tundras will live on.

Bravos have a cult following here in Northern Alaska. A nice used Bravo brings at least $4,000. I can't find them anyway, especially LTs. I have a 30 year old Tundra LT and it just goes and goes and goes. I think the key to starting up so well after sitting for any machine is a primer. The tundra doesn't have the quality of a Bravo IMHO tho. Tundras and their parts are more readily available

I’ve got a 1990 yamaha bravo, a long time ago the track blew and it sat ever since. Motor still runs great but i’ve got no idea where to get a track. Any suggestions? It’s a short track

Do you still have the track? I have seen tracks held together with door hinges. They work! If I was shopping for another track, I'd post adds in snow country,. Lots of people have a Bravo rusting in the yard. Good luck in your search.

Guess you don't like Tundra 2s....bigger engine(277cc = 25 hp vs Bravo 250 cc = 18 hp.....also Tundra 2s could get 100 kmh, Bravos are lucky to get 60), better suspensions, newer ones even came with reverse
