So i just googled how to take responsibility. Here's what came up. Reflect: Take time to consider your actions and their consequences-> Check Acknowledge mistakes: Don't blame others, and instead own your actions-> blames society and circumstances FAIL Apologize: If you're responsible for something that went wrong, apologize sincerely-> does not and actively doesnt want to go back to his world or find any way to do that FAIL Learn: Take steps to rectify mistakes and learn from them.-> Does worse things immediately but eventually he stops. SORTA Communicate: Openly communicate about your actions.-> Lies to everyone about his true nature and covers it up FAIL Empathize: Try to understand how your actions impact others, and express remorse when appropriate.-> Literally was abused by beast people...went on to abuse others and didnt even think about their feelings. But sometimes he thinks of others SORTA Set goals: Setting goals can help you stay accountable for your actions, efforts, and time management.-> Check Keep commitments: Try to stick to the plans and goals you create.-> worse stuff, lies to wife, breaks promises-> FAIL Ask for help: When needed, ask for help or work harder to complete tasks. -> Lies to everyone to cover up his true nature and gets what at he wants FAIL Does he take responsibility? YOU DECIDE.

Redeeem early 15c., redemen, "buy back, ransom, recover by purchase," also in a theological sense, "deliver from sin and spiritual death," from Old French redimer "buy back" and directly from Latin redimere "to redeem, buy back," from red- "back" (see re-) + emere "to take, buy, gain, procure" (from PIE root *em- "to take, distribute"). In Middle English, Latin redimere sometimes was translated as againbuy. The general sense of "rescue, deliver, save" is from late 15c. The meaning "make amends for" is from 1520s. Sense of "make good, perform, fulfill" (a promise, obligation, etc.) is from 1840. The commercial sense of "receive back by paying the obligation" is by 1889. The sense of "save (time) from being lost" (Tyndale, Shakespeare, Young, Cowper, Eliot) is after Ephesians v.16, Colossians iv.5. Related: Redeemed; redeeming; redempt (obsolete). To make amends for is what we arre using ( no ones talking about a purchase) So when he makes amends with the people hurt, faces the appropriate consequences his society would demand sure.. Literal author doesn call it a redemption story.

Redemption sounds prettier and is snappier than "learning from your past mistakes to take advantage of every opportunity and build a good, satisfying life for yourself". AFAIK, he ends up being overburdened by having to deal with all the issues from all his wives, kids, lovers, bastard children, etc. but that doesn't make my point moot, any man worth being called a man would be happy carrying half a town of people on his back. From what I hear past the part where I left it, the plot is always gripping and develops the world and characters in an interesting way. The MC is questionable, sure, but that's not so bad a thing in literature in general. There are lots of characters with personal issues, questionable morals, and uninteresting goals in actually good novels. The issue is most fans of Mushoku Tensei refuse to own up to it. I personally have no issue with Rudeus as a protagonist, even with his taste for little girls in underwear, but there should be more to it than him being successful in spite of his flaws. He mostly became more competent without shedding most of his flaws.

"I'm not the animesnob without a reason." facts. Same with politics, general scumbags, fetishism cringe, bigots or just general cultural problems We need to understand that many people with a point don't speak up or rock the boat without a reason unless there's a vacuum of people NOT saying what needs to be said in the first fucking place. Would one person need to repeat themselves and be this consistent if the general consensus wasn't so collectively willfully corrupt to begin with? And then the responses to the criticism does not help the criticizer to feel comfortable to leave the space be and move on. Because while one person can't change an entire community if you can reach at least one person, just one, then you did your due diligence. Echo-chambers have always been a thing, this isn't a modern phenomena, but that doesn't mean leave them alone. Especially with what they're doing, what they're defending, when what they're saying doesn't match up or promotes behaviors that are counterproductive to human decency, not my subjective idea of morality- NO, general objective decency. We won't last forever, we'll be gone and yet somebody's gotta say it eventually. Let’s initiate the public execution of his review. Most of the replies will probably be hidden because he does not like it when people end up making him look like a clown. You will have to go to more recent comments to read them: “The initial segment of the story continues the monotonous pacing characteristic of the previous season” Unfounded criticism. You don’t just say that it is monotonous. You prove it using definitions and arguments that support it. “predominantly depicting slice-of-life scenarios” Being a slice of life does not imply being monotnous, so saying that it is monotonous since it depicts slice of life scenarios like you do here is instantly wrong. “The PDF protagonist” You can argue that he evidentiated pedophile behavior in the early stages of his new life but this behavior is completely absent from season 2 onwards, so this label does not hold up to any scrutiny to the present rudeus. “continues to deal with inconsequential issues arising in his school and married life” His E.D. was not an inconsequential issue, specially since it arised from the trauma he developed after eris left him without any previous advice. Dealing with a trauma (no matter how inconsequential you might think the sexual life of someone is) is not inconsequential itself. I don’t even know why I am proving the opposite when you didn’t prove your claim in the first place. Another unfounded criticism. “resolving them effortlessly with a few jokes and casual conversations” First you criticize the fact that those issues were mundane and now you criticize the fact that they were solved with ease? Can you at least not contradict yourself in the same sentence? Either ways, you didn’t provide much examples of “issues being effortlessly solved with a few jokes and casual conversations” so this is another unfounded criticism 🤷♂️ “The show had turned into a trivial school dramedy, devoid of action, adventure, or any exploration of the world, a.k.a. the main hook of the first season and primary allure that attracted a substantial audience.” And? Not only are you assuming the reason why all the audience first started watching it without proving it, but also you are assuming that IF the series started with a certain focus towards something it MUST keep with said focus. This standard placed upon the series is completely arbitrary and therefore can be deemed invalid. Next. “Allegedly, the show is not intended to be an adventure but rather a portrayal of the PDF protagonist’s life in a setting that indulges his questionable desires” First mistake. You don’t judge texts based upon the author’s intention. Read “The Death of the Author” by Roland Barthes first and then come back afterwards. Second mistake: his mistakes are not being indulged. He got beaten up when he tried to touch Eris without her consent, not to mention that his pervert behavior was punished by his E.D. for multiple years. “In this respect, the narrative does not necessitate constant action and adventure, and those expecting such elements essentially bamboozled themselves and as a result abandoned the series.” No narrative necessitates a certain theme in the first place. Second mistake, again you assumed the behavior of the audience without any prove: your supposition that people who like adventure and action left the series is absolutely unfounded, and also implies that you cannot like two genres or themes at the same time (wrong). Next
@forclayet3989
3 күн бұрын
“Some argue that the absence of engaging adventures is not a significant drawback, yet it undeniably poses a major hurdle.” Really? Let’s see your reasoning for it. “The show retains the degeneracy of its previous seasons but no longer hides behind the world exploration.” In which way is Rudeus attitude as degenerate as in the other seasons when he literally cannot fulfill any sexual desire? 💀 “It is glaringly overt, with nothing to divert attention.” Ignoring that your initial point was wrong, does this even hold up as a valid criticism in the first place? The degeneracy of a series does not condition its quality. Themes in general have nothing to do with the quality of stories; only logical consistency. That’s it. “Viewers can no longer claim, ‘I am here for the magic and the adventure’.” Certainly not for that season, but the series still touches those themes in many occasions: one arc without it does not nullify its overall theme. Another invalid argument. “They can’t avoid admitting that their continued interest lies in watching a PDF protagonist larping in what is essentially a waifu-gathering simulation, replete with numerous ‘call the feds’ moments” First of all, assuming what the audience watches something for without proving it is fallacious. Second of all, rudeus does not manifest any behavior in the 2nd season that could make you consider that he still has pedophilic tendencies. Third of all: stop indulging in reductionism of the plot. I can do the same thing: legend of the galactic heroes is about two cardboard gary-stus fighting for generic reasons in an overused science fiction setting. See? Very easy to do. “The series attempts to convince viewers that the PDF protagonist has matured and is no longer a reprehensible character.” The series is not a person: IT cannot attempt to convince anyone of anything, specially because IT has no desires nor can carry out any actions. Your premise is already absolutely flawed. “However, this supposed maturity is undercut by his continued worship of stolen panties and the blood of the women he has deflowered.” Same mistake as other person in the comment section: having made no progress or having stagnated in only one area of your development as a person does not nullify all the progress made in other areas up to that point. Rudeus’ overly perverted attitude greatly improved. Rudeus’ immaturity also greatly improved. Rudeus’ social skills took an absurd improvement (he could not even leave his own house before). And precisely because of that last part is why he praises Roxy that much, to the point he has made a cult around her figure: she was the one who first showed him the outside world and helped him get over the trauma that had been tormenting him for several years. This, from Rudeus’ POV, was the equivalent of being rescued by a godlike figure. That’s why he saves such a mundane object as Roxy’s panties as a divine artifact.
@forclayet3989
3 күн бұрын
“This incongruous behavior is presented as mostly anime comedy, with the show suggesting that it aligns with the logic of its isekai setting.” It is not really incongruent with his already established behavior: just because his maturity manifested in some other areas of his personal improvement does not mean that there is therefore an incongruency here. You are trying too hard to ignore all the things that disprove your narrative and only center around the stuff that proves it. Second of all, you are still engaging in reification: the show cannot suggest anything because it is not a subject with the ability to act. Start talking in precise and formal language. Third of all, what would be the “logic of its isekai setting” in the first place? Your review is incredibly incomplete. “And yet the more questionable elements are predominantly a direct consequence of the protagonist’s actions rather than the world’s inherent sexism. Here are a few examples. The PDF protagonist gets horny in the presence of the furries he has tortured into submission (and who inexplicably show no signs of mental trauma because of it)” Wow, again the same overused and already debunked example that you always bring up. First of all, the doldia tribe are completely accustomed to worse stuff than what rudeus did to linia and pursena. As you have seen in season 1, it is pretty normal for them to strip people naked and lock them up in a jail without any sort of bathroom inside of it (yes, rudeus had to shit on the floor of the cell during all the time he was locked up there)” Second of all, didn’t you hear whar linia was planning to do to rudeus in case of defeating him in their mini-duel? She said she was going to strip him naked in the middle of the magical university and start kicking his balls until he asks for forgiveness Third of all, where is the “torture” that he made them go through? He certainly tie them up and lock them in a room for two days, but that is not torture per se, which would be to “inflict severe pain or suffering on”. Forth of all, at which point did he get horny? He literally cannot have an erection. 💀 “They immediately discuss seducing him for personal gain. This reaction is not a reflection of the world’s norms but rather a result of the protagonist’s abusive conditioning. Basically, he reared them through torture to think that way.” It seems that you keep forgetting the fact that they are still beast people: even though they are a humanoid race, they still think in terms of their primitive insticts. That is: survival and reproduction. It makes complete sense that they seem to think that this can be simply solved by engaging in sexual activities (not to mention that people inside the doldia tribe reproduce at a very young age). And you still keep overusing the term torture ignoring all the context behind the overall practices of the doldia tribe. What rudeus did to them is considerably milder than their punishment practices. “The furries also go on to torture innocent girls, which is just mimicking what the protagonist did to them. They bully and threaten very young girls to take off their panties, because they know that is what their sick master likes.” They are not really mimicking what rudeus did to them (at no point did he steal the panties of any of them): linia and pursena are just not that bright. The reason why they did that is because they misunderstood the reason why rudeus kept roxy’s panties as some kind of treasure: they just thought that he did for lustful reasons (when he kept that as a genuine divine treasure). Your misrepresentation of the plot is truly baffiling.
@forclayet3989
3 күн бұрын
“He is caught and guess what kind of punishment the school imposed on him for this horrible act. Nothing.” Oh, maybe it was because HE WASN’T THE ONE TO ORDER THEM TO DO SO IN THE FIRST PLACE. Have you forgotten the fact that they also stole Norn’s panties? The first reaction that rudeus had when he realized what they did was to get angry at them, specially because he thought that he was going to get expelled for this. Why should he get punished for something he didn’t do?? “They let him go without punishment. It’s not like a dozen little girls were bullied into removing their underwear in broad daylight and inside a school which will leave them with mental trauma because of it.” BUT IT LITERALLY WASN’T HIM WHO COMMITTED THE CRIME IN THE FIRST PLACE. Even Ariel understood that he wasn’t the one to blame for this. “The author also makes sure to have such vile acts not having any visible consequences, by making the furries he tortured and the girls they bullied to instantly get over it”. You have a severe lack of context: before these events they both formed a gang that constantly bullied and blackmailed other people: ariel didn’t even want to do anything to them because they were the royalty of the doldia tribe. Even in this situation, she can’t still get rid of them, no matter how much she wants it. “What a well-written story that truly respects your intelligence. Feel sorry when the PDF protagonist spends decades as a shut-in because he was bullied, but when he inflicts the same humiliation to dozens of others, laugh about it and move on.” At which point did he inflict the same humiliation to thousands of others??? Did you even watch the series you are trying to criticize??? “Then the author makes sure to have the entire school hand-jobbing the PDF protagonist for all the cool stuff he does, and to magically forget all the creepy stuff he did.” What creepy stuff are you even talking about?? The only thing he did was to kidnap two of the leaders of an inside gang that used to blackmail and bully people nonstop: they even kept doing that stuff to zanoba after they got all their gang expelled. You are truly lost. They had it well deserved for all the stuff they did: they didn’t receive any punishment whatsoever up to that point for their actions in the university.

“It’s not like this is a sick power fantasy or something, where the protagonist is deified and all the terrible things he does are ignored.” I won’t repeat the same thing but I have yet to see the terrible things you are talking about actually occur there. Not only that but you are affirming the consequent here: a power fantasy does certainly have those two things (which are absent in MT), but having those two things does not make a show a power fantasy. “Like most anime, such situations are treated like a joke, and on top of that as a filler side story that doesn’t matter in the plot.” They DO matter in the plot, since meeting linia and pursena ended up making rudeus be able to fight badigadi and develop his relationship with him even more, not to mention that they both will participate in the events of the story later on. Not only did you fail to provide reasons about why it was treated as a joke (another unfounded critcism) but even if it was, I have yet to see how that has any impact on the quality of the story 🤷♂️ Again, literally no justification for any of the things you talk about: you are the perfect depiction of the lazy critic. “It’s there just as fan service, to please the sickos who like this sort of comedy.” Again, stop engaging into analysis of the author’s intentions to judge the value of a story. Not only that but you keep ad homing the audience and assuming the intentions of the author. You should rename your channel to My Fallacy Snob. “Does anyone remember that the main plot is about finding the PDF protagonist’s mother? Yeah, forget it and indulge in the sick power fantasy of torturing girls, bullying them into removing their panties in broad daylight, and then running away laughing as nobody does anything about it.” WOW, first of all, it was Hitogami himself who told him not to go to Begaritt to rescue his mother because he would end up regretting it: it was not because rudeus suddenly forgot that he had a mother: you should seriously start paying attention to the stuff you are criticizing. Second of all, stop calling him a pedophile: you utterly failed to prove his pedophilic tendencies in season 2, so you don’t get to keep calling him that until you manifest a minimum of argumentative competency. Third of all, do I have to go again through all the reasons why your criticism about what happened with Linia and Pursena (both times) does not make any sense? Really?
@forclayet3989

“Be prepared for most episodes to feel as aimless and manipulative as the above.” If you feel that an inanimate object such as an anime can manipulate you, you should definitely seek therapeutic treatment. And again, you still engage in unfounded criticism: why is it the case that it is aimless and manipulative? Are you going to keep showing us your incompetence and lack of ability to back up the stuff you say? “There will be one where they chase fake ghosts as if you are watching Schooby Doo.” Sure. Does this pertain in any way to the qualititative judgment of the story? You are literally getting nowhere 💀👏 “There will be another about that badly written masked bitch trying to return to her world, for which nobody gives a shit since this is not the reason they are watching the show for.” WOW, those were like 7 argumentative mistakes in a row: this is another level of mediocrity. First of: no such thing as “badly written” exists. Second of all, another unfounded criticism: not only are you assuming that it is badly written without backing it up but it cannot be badly written in the first place because that is not a thing. Third of all, stop being overcome by your emotions: there is no need to call a fictional character “bitch” just because people care more about it than your completely uninteresting characters of Legend Of the Galactic Heroes (and I will back that judgment up in another video responding to more snob stuff). Forth of all, assuming what the audience wants: I haven’t seen anyone up to date ask to the 400.000+ anime watchers of MT whether they are watching the show for that or not. Fifth of all, why should the reason for people to watch a certain show be a singular event? Are you dumb? And there are more mistakes here but they are not worth adressing. This review is another level of low.
