While I would not call it a duet exactly... Leprous - Slave (Live At Rockefeller Music Hall) has 2 drummers (mostly in unison), but the performance does have some great drumming, incredible vocals and the overall song is great as well!

Chris wrote all of the parts for this entire album, to include mouthing how he wanted guitar parts to sound to his guitar players, cuz he can’t play guitar. When this track first came out, he said this track/video took 11 months to put together. If you look in the descriptions of each song, he notes which take of how many takes he did to get the take he wanted. I believe Thomas’s was his 7th of 9 takes, which is why he says that at the end of the video (you stopped it before he says “take 7, I guess) The original purpose of putting this album together with the No Triggers/No Samples/No Snap to Grid was because of the amount of awful comments saying that Chris couldn’t possibly be as good as he sounds without any of that. Prior to this, Chris recorded drums for a band called I Am Abomination. The guitar player/producer for the band had to stop him from constantly wanting to do takes over and over again, stating that the takes were good. Chris would say “I’m not entirely happy with this” and when they asked why, he said he was off the click in a few parts. When they measured on the grid, he was something other worldly like .075 beats off of the click, which is almost humanly impossible to hear…but he heard it and was annoyed at himself.

Thomas Lang is one of my favorite people on the planet. I absolutely love the guys demeanor and thought process on most things. He's the kind of person that inspires you to want to learn more and be better just by listening to him speak, not even just about drums but anything.

It's crazy that the 5, 7, and 9 stroke rolls with the feet were split by both drummers, absolutely insane

Have you found Kai Hahto, the drummer of Wintersun and since 2014 also Nightwish. On KZitem, several Nightwish drumcams and at least three Sonic Pump Studio live recordings at Wintersun, as well as audience footage from Wintersun's "sons of winter and starts" drum clinic. Kai gets sweaty a little faster in Wintersun's songs. The previous drummer of Nightwish, Jukka Nevalainen, asked his friend Kai to be Nightwish's drummer because he had to stop playing due to severe insomnia. Kai also teaches drumming. Kai has mentioned several American Jazz drummers as role models, and as a Finn, he has also studied drumming in New York.

There’s actually two separate videos of both of their parts individually. It’s cool to see how many gaps there are until you stack em on top of each other. Both of the videos are on Chris’ channel 😎🥁
