Hurt myself, play video games, then contemplate suicide. Edit: I'm still Alive, trying to believe in myself more, and fighting the good fight! Thank you everyone for your kindness, compassion, and support. Also, Thank you Music lab for your great mixes!

@@reilagji4752 thanks for your compassion---but yeah, I'm serious. I haven't attempted suicide; but I think about it a lot---however, I do hurt myself. The only time I feel most alive, lately is when I make myself believe I'm worthless. I plan to get help though, I just need medical insurance.

I had a project I had to do. I couldn't focus, was unmotivated, and needed to get it done. Someone then suggested in the stream I was watching to leave that stream, listen to some motivational music, and try to focus. 12 minutes later and I got it done. It was only 2/3s of a section, but when I spent at least 10, maybe 20, minutes on the first third, that was impressive.

I really like this style of music because it is instrumental, doesn't have a lot of vocals that get in your head and steer your mind off the task at hand while doing your work. I read some of the reviews - YES, this definitely gets me into a FLOW STATE with what I'm working on while listening to this music. However, I find the Garage Band type percussion track to sound to have a "tin" type quality. This happens on a lot of tracks where they are using synthesizers to record their music. I like the beat of the percussion, but there is a repetitive-ness to it which is slightly annoying... I would hire a real drummer, someone good with jazz to lay the percussion part of the sound track. Another thing that I find that a lot of newer recordings have - is that they are not ending the song in a way where the song feels complete. They just cut off the sound - and the song stops without any type of ending that really resolves itself. Listen to the songs of the 70's, 80's, 90's (particularly the really great bands like Chicago)... they finish the songs with some type of ending which resolves the song in a way where it feels "complete" - and not like it just STOPPED ABRUPTLY! You want to maintain "the Flow" - at the beginning - and even until the end - where the song rolls more easily into the next selection. They often used some type of "fade out" to end the song, where you gradually lower the sound level where it fades out to the end. Same with the way songs BEGIN... there were introductions in the 70's, 80's, 90's that led you into the song where it didn't just hit you with the power reserved for the chorus from the git go. You want to build up to the chorus... start and end with less intensity than the middle of the song, similar to creating book ends that hold the whole piece together. Ok, so - the band Chicago is doing a completely different "style" of music, with a different intention than creating a nice track that helps you stay in "flow" for doing your work... but you get the idea. The same type of music theories and compositions can even be applied in creating a track that keeps you in a state to do your best work.
