I saw on KZitem from Bob Marley's son that when Mr. Marley died, the family needed money. They went to Michael Jackson to borrow the money to buy the rights to their father's music. Michael said "No, he would,if he could, buy the rights himself." They went to Chris Blackwell and Mr.Blackwell lent them the money!!!!!!🌺🌿🍃🌺

@@United-States-of-Africa That's nonsense. Blackwell promoted the Wailers as a group (he actually re-named them 'the Wailers' after Lee Perry had changed the name into 'Bob Marley & the Wailers'); it was Peter and Bunny who intended to pursue solo careers, Bunny because he didn't like to tour extensively, and Peter because he wanted to be in the spotlight himself.

Love that Chris Blackwell set the record straight about his participation in Bob Marley's life. That host wanted to turn his nose on the pages of history. Mr. Robert Nesta Marley kept his focus on his destiny. No one was going to deter him. Anyone who embarked on his journey had to be aligned with his vision.

@@United-States-of-Africa He surely would have, if Tosh had been patient enough until he'd eventually come up with an album worth of material (just like Bunny did). When Tosh left the Wailers and Island in 1973, his output was simply not sufficient (yet) to break through internationally as a solo artist. And even after that, it took him until 1976 to come up with an entire album (filled with several reworkings of older songs, still).

Even after the family paid him back every single dime. He still ended up with his family owning all of Bob’s publishing. I guarantee CIA/FBI records would show he was an operative. CIA won’t even release and or claim nor deny having access to Bob’s records any longer bc of the dirty poisonous things they did to Bob. They always misspell parts of every major artist’s name. It’s apart of the fiduciary insurances. The get paid handsomely when these artist pass. I will say that he is the one who whitewashed Bob according to the PR he needed to cross over with white crowds. I don’t know if he really needed it the way CB felt by placing BOB with Cindy. Bob never stopped being womanizing but somehow they lead the world still to date to beleive Cindy was some great love when Bob was going with her followup to Miss World who withdrew and who was much prettier and Black/Moses by the name of Sandra Hong. Cindy knew of this relationship was friends at one point with this woman. Bob loved woman and he listened to these ppl in terms of his career when he would go on to make statements about being of bright black man white an but of God. Bob loved his African ancestry and that would show til death so him part. He was in deep like with all African Gabon black girl who looked much like Rita than Cindy. She visited Bo. Every weekend til his last day in Germany. Bob cried for Rita til the end. Cindy was there bc Rita made her be there bc Rita was book and busy. She was more of a PR stunt that great love. Still to date Cindy is enjoying the PR off Bob although she married 2mo’s or so after his demise knowing he had other children and loves

He had the privilege of working with talented artists and the new Reggae sound which helped to build Island Records as much as IR helped to market the music. He has been given Order of Jamaica.😍
