No shooting flames, background explosions, cone-titted babes dancing in unison, no need for a "wardrobe failure" to get attention, just purely great songs and talented performers.

Of course the Hollies were part of my best years when being part of the Beat music starting at the age of 11 when my elder brother ( R.i.p.) and me saw the Stones in 1965 live in concert. It was a fierce competition between the Beatles and the Stones from approx 1964 to 1970, but we had so many other groups which also made good music like the Animals, Beach Boys, the Troggs, Keith West, the Tremeloes, Mamas and Papas, Jimi Hendrix Exoerience, Cream, Doors, Joe Cocker, Tina Turner, Sonny and Cher, the McCoys,Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky Mick and Tich, Moody Blues, Easybeats, Bee Gees and many more ….they all made my life so much better and easier compared to today. And the Hollies had top musicians who played their hits live exactly as they did on the record ! That‘s great, I love that ! I think most of us had there best time when growing up, say at the age of 12-20, right ?

He didn't like talking about it much!! Such a nice good-looking young man. I was around 13 ,14. Years old. No family should have had to see their sons go off to war. I have one done and oñe daughter. My oldest daughter died of breast cancer in her early 30's I took her to Charleston S.C research center for a second option, still bad news. That's the hardest thing to loose a child. Her son's were so young. I really miss my daughter Tonya Hensley!!! One day I will see her again !!!! My son and other daughter get so upset when I talk about her.
