We can be grateful for the amount of his best work that is available on video. It is a huge legacy. We always think we have time but time has other ideas and that time is no more. Love you Mr Farnham.

We are all so lucky, John was so popular that a concert from just about every single tour was recorded and televised. He also made many guest appearances on TV variety shows to promote his latest singles and albums. As well as quite a few documentaries about him. So the amout of high quality videos that are out there and available is huge. He is also a pretty good actor and had his own TV show for a while and guest appearances on quite a few comedy shows. He's a natural comedian as well.. he is very well known and loved I Australia ....and it's great to see others from around the world are also finally getting to discover him. One of my favourites is him and his whole band singing Stevie Wonders Loves in Need. Would love to see you react to that one.

Thank you, Carolyn, for alerting me to this. I have watched this one song from this concert many times now and I'm glad to hear that many others of his concerts were also filmed and available. All this was before my time but it inspires me just the same. Thanks a bunch for your post, you're the cat's meow.

I'm aussie and I never really followed his music growing up, its only now I'm in my 60s that I've rediscovered him and realize just how good he is. I was always aware of him though as a personality and just an all round lovely guy. He loves a good laugh and like many aussies he's very self deprecating. Wonderful man.

Thank you for choosing to react to our John! ❤ To think that John released this song way back in 1986, over 36 years ago! It is a mega Aussie anthem but I think that “You’re The Voice” should be a worldwide anthem as the message is much more relevant today that it was even then. So great to see John’s music being appreciated and spread overseas after so long, especially as John gave up his chances at worldwide stardom to stay in Australia with his family, instead choosing to just tour around the country. John is currently recovering from surgery to remove mouth cancer, so we may never hear his golden voice live ever again. Please also check out the version of this song from the Firefight Australia concert in February 2020, even in his ‘70’s John’s voice was still phenomenal.

You're so right that this song is truly universal. I'm not Australian but this song, and especially this live version, uplifts and helps me transcend the trauma of childhood abuse. And it's equally relevant for anyone who is marginalised, downtrodden and powerless. This singer is yet another wonderful talent to emerge from your beautiful country.

This was a song that was written about the protests for nuclear disarmament but it can be applied to many other just causes. It is a question as to why more Americans who have been introduced to this song do not take it up and spread this anthem to fight the good fight of gun control in the USA. Many of its citizens die daily from the antiquated amendment of "the right to bear arms" from long ago. It needs to be changed. The National Rifle Association and arms manufacturers make millions and billions, from the death of their own people. It's time the people of America stared down the barrel of their gun that is holding the society to ransom, and change the laws. The UK and Australia succeeded in introducing new, sensible gun laws. Do it !

Here is some stats I collected on the 18th January 2023. The US has had 32 mass shootings so far in 2023. Yep, that is 32 in just 18 days, nearly 2 per day. 46 innocent people have been killed and 124 have been injured. I say that is too many and those 460,000 free roaming lunatics need to have their access to guns removed, or at least restricted so they can't get their hands on assault rifles that can fire 100 rounds a minute. I appreciate your need to carry a gun when the country is as chaotic as it is. The biggest problem is you can also have a surprise attack that could kill you or your family before you have a chance to grab your gun. No one is announcing their arrival so you can be prepared. The best course of action would be to register the guns, train and licence the users, and anyone who hasn't done those things could either be a criminal or a lunatic and need to be checked out a bit further.

I had no idea it was written with that in mind. Aside from the 'barrel of a gon' line, I relate to it on a much more personal level of overcoming the trauma of childhood neglect and abuse, learning to have a voice and to fight the fear thst haunts me still. You know a song is special when it speaks to so many with whatever the listener brings to it.

Yes, when he throws those 🎤 stands in the air ,and then catches them ,is pretty spectacular. The only downside are his roadies hate seeing the broken 1s ,at the end of every concert. FARNHAMS CONCERTS ARE AMAZING ESPECIALLY BEING THERE IN PERSON. AS THEY SAY NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS. BUT STILL THINK ABOUT HIM EVERY DAY. 💕🇦🇺
