I think things should clear up as you move through the lessons. You might have to watch some of them more than once though. I know when I was learning theory I had to go over the same info multiple times. Thanks! -Chad

A minor chord is diatonic but to a major scale of a different note, right? So are Fminor,Gminor diatonics to E major scale?

What's shown in the video can help me build chord progression in the key of Fmajor. But how do I find the chord progression in the key of Fminor, Fminor7b5, Fdim, Fadd9 etc ?
@Moveforwardguitar
6 жыл бұрын
Fm7b5, Fdim, Fadd9 don't have keys. Those are just chords that are built out of the Major Scale. Thanks! -Chad

How could the "root" be anything else besides "F" if you're in the key of "F."
@Moveforwardguitar
7 жыл бұрын
Multiple chords can be built out of the F Major Scale. So the root is whatever the first note in those chords are. The chords in the key of F Major are F, Gm, Am, Bb, C, Dm, EDim. So that means the first chord F has an F root, the second chord Gm has a G root and so on. I hope that makes sense. Thanks! -Chad
