I used to write mad tunes with Screamtracker in the 90s. It was amazing to be able to record samples or use any .wav files you could find with the limited internet of the time, and then just use them to compose across 16 channels. I still use Schismtracker for writing automated beats, basslines, etc.

I plan to dive into trackers with Schism Tracker on one of my Nintendo Wiis! I got a keyboard specifically for it and have equipment to sample the few synths I have to make some smashing tunes! Surprisingly it also has MIDI output capability. Imagine having a Wii module in a modular synth! It would work with Eurorack because it’s powered by 12 volts!
