MUSICIAN REACTS to Fred Again... - Delilah (pull me out of this) Tiny Desk Concert. This man is such a talent and I still get chills from this video. This is an amazing tiny desk, but this specific track hit different. It’s one of his most popular songs, but this toned back more subtle version is something different than EDM. Plus the artistic value of adding the videos on each sample. Fred again and again and again.

I'm 61, saw him playing in Barcelona. I was about to leave after Kendrick Lamar and my son insisted that I stayed for Fred. What a trip. Saw grown men in tears, everyone dancing in synch with such level of artistry. Haven't stopped listening to him nonstop ever since. The Tiny Desk Concert is a timeless gem.

Hi Andrea, First let me start by saying I love how much you love this. Fred is truly a treasure who deserves to be recognized as such. With all due respect though, calling him a DJ could be viewed as insulting and undermining of his talents. While Fred can definitely DJ, as we saw by his boiler room set, he is just simply an artist. At his live shows he’ll play piano and his drum pad, and sing, and brings along a DJ. Also if you really enjoyed the “techno” you heard in Europe I encourage you to explore all the sub genres of “electronic” music because Fred Again… would definitely not be classified as a “techno” artist. It’s similar to saying Beatles are a great heavy metal band because both fall under the massive Rock & Roll umbrella (bit of an exaggeration). While Fred is certainly at the top of the mountain right now, I think you’ll find there’s plenty of talent out there putting out amazing music. I’m always happy to share recommendations if you’re interested!

Saw Fred Again.. at Coachella, and had to see him again here in Chicago at Lolla. Delilah is an emotional rollercoaster. I was cutting onions while dancing hard. The story behind the song really hits you even hard when you know it. Delilah is about getting to a club, but being overwhelmed only to have someone you trust help you come down from a panic attack. This happened to a young lady that I didn't know at Lolla in a similar way when the Kendick Lamar crowd was getting dangerous. She was there with her friend. Her friend held her, and gave her water. I held her hand and used one of those folding fans to give her air. I made small talk and joked around to bring her down. Just saying goofy stuff like, "My name's Matt. I'm not a doctor, but I played one on TV." Once she had calmed down, they both thanked me, and I went on my way. Went to watch Subtronics where the fight-or-flight adrenaline wore off, and I just felt euphoric. The thing is that I know I would have been in her place some 5 years ago, but don't know if someone would have been there for me. It was a pay-it-forward kind of moment that felt like current me was helping previous me. She probably will never know how much she actually helped ME out! I was just as much of a wreck, but did my best to hide it. This is why Delilah means so much to me now. It's forever tied to that memory. There is a music video version of this song that I saw after Lolla that totally broke me down in tears. I'm talking tears streaming down my face at the similarities to what happened. Below is that version. I can't get through it without bawling. It might be worth a reaction video. If you do, please do a blind reaction of you seeing the video for the first time. Trust me on this. I think every festival goer has experienced something like this at least once in their lives. It's going to hit you hard. kzitem.info/news/bejne/zat9l3yvs6qFgmk
