There are some exercises that every figure skater should practice on a daily basis. One of them is the landing position extension.
This is a fantastic drill to do before getting on the ice or doing off-ice jumps.
How to do this exercise:
1️⃣Place a band around the ankles or above the knees
2️⃣Start standing hip distance apart and extend one leg back into the landing position
3️⃣Pulse the leg up and down keeping a straight knee for 15-20 reps
4️⃣Repeat on the other leg
🔑to Success….work on keeping the hips level and facing straight forward with the knee over the big toe on the standing leg.
