Hey lmf the old plugs you pulled are 41-110 acdelco rapid-fire iridium a higher end plug vs the 41-162s you put in that are a nickel copper plug. Just in case you didn't know can tell by the size of their tips😉😆. When you start making a low racer don't forget to upgrade all you ground wires and the big 3 wires to bigger gauge helps faster starts and power transfer along with getting some 8.5mm racing plug wires super thicc boys. So stoked for this build🎉🎉

@xevrun1687 I recommend it as upgrading your grounds and big 3 just help with overall performance. The thicc boy spark plug wires simply insure no arcing for a much longer lifetime vs standard wires

To check the level of the transmission fluid you have to check it in idle to get an accurate measurement

@@Boobtube. Not quite. These trucks have a hot and cold temp reading on the dipstick, at least my 2011 Silverado does. I sometimes check the cold reading with the dipstick marking.

I got mine with 70k on it and have put about 40k on it. I don’t know why people talk bad about them I love mine. Use it hard and town a lot. Only complaint is plug #8 😂 ifykyk

Hey lmf, try out 0000 steel wool for the chrome mirrors. I use it when I detail cars for my business. But make sure to use a lubricant so you don’t burn through the mirror👍🏼

I’ve got a center seat with the storage in the seat bottom and the lid on top. Same color. It’s out of my 2011 Silverado regular cab short bed. Mine is a z71 LT. I put the floor console in mine. You can have the seat but I’m in north central Florida

Need to through in oil pressure sensor replacement in your regular maintenance. The ones that come on the 5.3 are awful and will throw codes saying no oil pressure all though there is

I would put never seize on the spark plug threads, the cyl heads are aluminum, ( and even if they arent) cheap insurance against galling the threads.

lmf, is it worth buying one of these older gmc trucks. i’ve been looking at a 06’ 2500hd with the 6.0 vortec in it. i know that motor is incredibly reliable but i just wonder how will all the other parts hold up? will the other parts give out before the engine does and leave me with repairs needing to be made?

Not that I’ve noticed. But I did pull them out every six months or so and cleaned the fenders out really good. They do a really good job especially on those 07-13 trucks.

Mines a 07.5 crew cab and It use to be my grandpa’s truck and I bought it off my grandma 4 years after he passed. It had 180,000 miles on it. Ive had it for a little of 1 year and its got 220,000 and it just got a brand new rear end and transmission. And the motor is still %100

Clean that mass air.flow sensor and the throttle body! .. oem filters! Not.made for synthetic oil. Change that oil filter to a better unit and is applicable for synthetic oils. I always do the fluids .. diffs,t-case and trans.

why the dash rug? is the dash cracked. Why does the log book start at 100K? what about from 0-100K? The entree's in the logbook look sus to me. All the same color pen and type of tipped pen was used. Looks like he put all those markings in the book during the same day. Don't you find it odd, the same pen was used?
