I think the PresentDayProduction (MUM-8s) amazing folk were the star of the show. I heard the other brands on Saturday and their monitors, some costing 2 or 3 times the MUM-8s, and nothing could do what the MUM-8s do. They created something really special alright. 🎉

Sounded like at the end of the Lauten Eden mic part that you asked him if there were any tubes, and he said no. If I heard that correctly I wanted to correct thjat, as there is a tube in the Eden. I own an Eden myself and it is the Tube version of the Atlantis, or should i say more properly (as the Eden is the flagship mic) the Atlantis is the FET version of the Eden. Regardless it is a fantastic mic for vocals of all kinds. A sort of little underrealized feature to share about the mic is that the low cut/high pass filters on it greatly affect the overall signal, not just the low end it is rolling off. There is a "Kick Shaper" and a "Vocal Shaper" as the manual/Lauten describes the 2 different filters. You would be surprised how much they impact a vocal in the midrange and high end. Combine that with its Foward, Neutral and Gentle voicings, also utilizing the different polar patterns and you really can dial in any voice and also take one voice and give it different life for diffferent songs or even sections within a song. Seriouly one of the most useful high end microphones I've ever used.

Why do so many people say the side chain process on the bass so wrong, no wonder people have the wrong idea. It does not stop compressing the bass, it stops the bass effecting how the compassion is working... attack and release not being effected by the bass basically... which does help the pumping effect

Hi Hd!!!!! It’s been a while that I follow you on KZitem. You have awesome content. And it makes me understand the music world a little bit better well a lot better…. And I went to buy to myself a desktop sound card….. for my choice I went to the Symphony Desktop I never saw you made the review on that one. You probably should. It’s been about almost 2 years now and that product is amazing. You should try. Have a nice day.

Hi there. Thanks for the kind words. I’m glad the videos have been helpful. Apogee have never replied to my emails to get units for review, so they’ve not had the free marketing from me. I hear they’re very good.

Great content.. Thank you so much. Would it be possible to actually do some still footage like 10-20 seconds and not so much zooming in and out to see all the units properly? enhances the topics you're talking about.. 🙂

Thinking Shelford channel over Newton Price aside Any thoughts after 7 years on the market? Newton 2:1 fixed comp, no input transformer, fixed bell eq, no hi-z in, a few routing limitations ect.. other than that silk is supposed to be identical Different eq and comp design from shelford But worth twice the price??
