I have had severe sciatica for 17 days as of today. I had three episodes of PT so far, to include dry needling with not much relief. The pain goes from severe to mild and back to severe. I ordered a teeter today (7/18/21) and I'll give updates as to what relief I get when I begin using it. Currently I have pain in my buttock, thigh, and numbness and tingling from the knee down to the toes and some pain in the calf area. I am not having any back pain. It has severely impacted my day to day activities to the point where I rarely leave home except for PT and church. I hope it works for me as the testimonials here in the comments say it does. :- )

The first time I got to 80, I had 2 releases that sounded like breaking 2x4's, it was awesome. Its funny, sometimes the releases don't come right away; and I will be inverted in my inversion table gyrating up and down with spasms... if that happens and I don't get a release in 2 minutes inverted... I got back up for 2 min, then come back down and it releases that second time every time, and I stop gyrating.

Had a fair bit of back pain time to time as I got older due to a lot of phisical lifting/bending/ carring of heavy loads at work. At one point about 5 years ago was real bad for a 3 month period. Spent a fortune on Doctors CT scans, X-rays Chiropractor for zero result. Saw an advert for free demo of these inversion tables, had a go, way it was explained to me was your bones in your back are supported by mussel (important to exersise these mussels that aids back health) Plus many bones in back are also supported by fluid filled disks. If your back is injured & fluid goes from disks you have bone on bone, not good. Was told when inverted on the table bones are stretched back out (as are mussels) and the disks which cussion your mussels do refill with fluid, as they are no longer compressed. So in theroy you use the inverted table several times a day for 10 to fifteen minutes and this inflats the disks and gives you a cussion for your bones that stops pain. After a while these disks would stay inflated..........! I could see the logic! Was just about bed ridden with pain, getting told by doctors nothing could be done.......So bought a table and used it 4 to 5 times a day! In 3 days I could feel a big improvement. In 5 days was 90% free of back pain and doing normal activities. In a week was back to full time work & now only use the table occasionally if I get a bit of back pain. The really good thing was it gave me a chance to help myself to heal myself. Were as before I had table was spending thousands of dollars on medical doctors back specials for zero result & being told no cures! Have had a few friends relatives have back problems told them of my experience & the ones that bought these tables all had a similar good result & swear by the cost benefits! I do not do a full 90 degree angle inversion, do about 70 degree so its easier to flip back up. I'm not saying don't go to a back doctor I'm saying that most people with back problems have a poor result from consulting a doctor about their back pain. This gives you a way to solve the problem to a certain extent yourself. Plus the money spent remains there in your machine & will not disappear as per some other medical expenses! So far as I'm concerned this is a legit proven medical device that I highly recomend!

Aparently No. Sometime it's discount but rarely. I just bought it 2 weeks ago and assemble it on Monday before Thanksgiving. I tried many degree including full inversion (need a 2nd help in case of emergency though). I do not recommend full inversion the 1st time. Try 30 to 45 degree for 3-4 minute for at least once a day but it would be better with 3 times periodically. I have scoliosis and it's painful on the lumbar area. And so, my experiences of using it periodically help my pain go away for 3-4 hours. It does not make the pain go away permanently but at least I don't have to endure the backache. Also do regular stretching exercises would be helpful too. I bought the Teeter EP 560. It's half the price of X3.

I have 4 herniated discs in my lumbar spine with nerve impingement with 2. 4 degenerated or herniated discs in my thoracic spine and a compression fracture. So, it has been helpful for symptom relief at times. However, once I used it the same as usual and something happened in my back and the pain was worse and I had a hard time getting off. Weird. I should’ve had someone with me! I had to get another epidural after that. Now I’m afraid to try it again. I wonder why that happened. Also, I had to stop using it for a long time because of GERD. That’s another thing that can make the machine a bad idea. 😕

@@varunshahvo-tv9854 I’m not the person who posted and not sure if you’re asking how it helped them specifically with their problems, or how the inversion helps in general, but my understanding is that it helps by decompressing the vertebrae of the spine. The pain signal comes from compression of vertebrae & the discs in the spine and that puts pressure on the sciatic nerve which travels down the buttocks and various parts of the leg. That creates a pain signal. When you invert gravity helps create space & the pressure is alleviated from the disc and the nerve which can relieve the pain signal. I haven’t used one yet but I’m suffering from severe sciatic pain so I’m looking into getting one of these in addition to the chiropractic and physical therapy I’m doing.

Was really in pain for about two week after each use but that is going away. I feel like the stretching before the table has been a big help all pain is 95% gone.

As a golfer I'm always using a golf cart, I realized years ago that the cart creates compression on my spinal cord and was a cause of several back pain. The Inversion table was the answer, for me.

So these things actually work huh? Because I can't take it anymore. I lay down in bed I'm in terrible pain, it's sometimes takes me half an hour to get out of bed, I spend all day on my feet in agony, it feels like I'm being stabbed in the spine. If I sleep wrong my neck and my back are in terrible pain for days after that. Once in a blue moon it doesn't hurt at all, but almost 24/7 I am in life-altering pain. I'm terrified of surgery but they have one of these on eBay for $89 and I'm going to try to get it. You specifically mentioned to not get a cheap one, but all it is is a table where you hang upside down. If I can afford a name brand one then I absolutely would but it is what it is. I need to get one of these as soon as humanly possible. Great video. Great info. Thank you.

I've been using Teeter Gravity Boots and hanging 90º (upside down ) for over 30 years and it definitely helps when you've been an auto mechanic for over 50 years bending over cars.

Yep, even hanging from a chin up bar for a few minutes a day helps my back, the actual traction from an inversion table is so much more effective. There's a reason we are almost 1" taller in the morning, gravity compresses our spine and that can take a toll after a while.

I was diagnosed june 23rd. I still deal with it today but let me tell you it does get better! If you're able to see a therapist that's amazing! But majority of my healing was done at home. Research the MacKenzie method. There's also books on it. Press ups are KEY. Best of luck 🍀

You didn’t point out that the rotation is due to weight transfer, having hands at your sides you should be in a neutral position. Then moving your hands up and overhead puts more weight on one side and you rotate. When I first used years ago this part I didn’t know and it put me in a little panic attach and I tried to power back using arm handles , that was not a great idea. Simple putting hands down and popping knees up will change center of gravity to bring you back up. Ps. It did help my AS from curling me to much, great product!

Yes, the exercise ball is nice too but I feel I don't get the traction that I do from a inversion table. But if all you need is the ball, thats a hell of a lot cheaper! lol.

I tried the exercise ball hack as described. It was OK. My girlfriend was trying it, too, but not feeling pain relief. I bought a nice Teeter inversion table and set it up in her house. She didn't use it, so I brought it to my house. I've learned that the benefits of inversion are not instant, they develop over months of consistent use (a couple of times per week or more). Benefits are better than the exercise ball. She still has back pain; my back is pain free and I get to enjoy more physical activities than she ever will. I plan on using the inversion table as a part of my physical fitness regime for the rest of my life.

I have an exercise ball which is really good for stretching out forward and for sitting on it and trying to balance. However nothing stretches my back and spine, hips, neck and shoulders as well as the Teeter. I’ve had and used this for about three weeks and I have had no headaches or neck pain and almost no shoulder pain since. The muscles in my back are sore from time to time after use. I’m inverting only about 30 degrees so far and for up to three minutes once per day I have had three cervical disc fused and a lumbar surgery. Also a SLAP injury and rotator tear in the left shoulder which was treated with PT but is a pretty painful at times and have contemplated surgery or repeat PT. In the three weeks that I’ve had this I haven’t had the usual pain with the my back, neck, shoulders or any headaches. I’ve been so impressed with the outcome since using this. I get the stretch and decompression I need in such a short time. The wonderful relaxing anti-gravity feel that I get when I am teetering almost perfectly balanced is exhilarating. Has been great for me. I’m thinking maybe no more surgery or PT.

I've been using an inversion table for years... I'd be crippled without it. My Teeter has (I feel) a more secure foot lock. I do go almost full inversion... if I feel too much pulling I stop. Yes it does get in the way... but I just have to have it!

I got one -- i believe its more about using it multiple times a week for the rest of your life (like if your where to do yoga or stretches) and maybe it'll eventually help or at least prevent future discomforts. I have lower back pain, occasional siatica pain on either leg. And recently new pain going up my spine up to my neck. Never been in a car crash, never had a sport injury... i thinks its all caused by sitting too much in front of a computer for so many years and no being an active person.

Appreciate the video guys! I have been having lower back pain for years from multiple military injuries. I realize this isn't an advertisement, but I saw the Teeter X3 for sale and bought it. I've started seriously exercising lower back / core, supplements and sleeping different but I think traction is my next target and nice to hear it's well-built (although I know the X3 isn't the x9 or whatever). God bless.

So you healed your spondylolisthesis with this table? Because my surgeon says it cannot be healed without surgery. And I cannot have surgery. I have numbness down both of my legs when I stand for a long time or walk. I don’t know if it was Bob or Brad but the guy on the table said he healed his spondylolisthesis. That’s great news if it’s true

Got an inversion table given to me back in 1978 it came from Sweden very high-quality it was the kind that I am 6 ft 2 and when I hang upside down my hands did not touch the floor so it was complete conversion I started slow built up it was great move to an apartment where it would not work it would not invert all the way so I gave it away six months later regretted it

when you come back up it helps to do "toe touches" .. rest back come forward toe touch and hold .. do as many reps as is comfortable .. also when you get off the table if you do yoga or Qi Gong or other stretches you will be amazed .. I mix using the table with my exercise routine in the morning !!! .. AMAZING
