Called a Meremere if made of wood or a Patu if made from stone or bone, traditionally for the use of sculling someone, some warriors ones had hooks in the side to be used for disemboweling or for removing the windpipe of your enemy. Although mostly used by elders these days to elaborate oration.

This is before the game even started. The Haka is the war cry of the natives of New Zealand (Maori) and the Fiji islands too. Shows the team's fearlessness and team spirit in the face of the 'enemy army'. This is why I prefer rugby to games like soccer. So much more physical and intense, as opposed to soccer and football.
