Just caught this video - hey... the first red one - that actual TD is now ours. We bought it in June '20 off Frank. We absolutely love it. Great workmanship - well thought out. Frank Is The Man !!!!!

That’s soooo cool mate, that’s awesome, well done on your purchase 👍🇦🇺 They’re a great little unit indeed ... when I get to that grey nomad point and am sick of climbing in and out of a swag, I’d buy one in a heartbeat. I just love the versatility of drive all day till you’re tired and then crawl into bed for the night safe and sound in the warm comfort of an Aussie made TD - just brilliant. 🇦🇺🇦🇺😉👍👍

Just the thing to tow behind our 2017 Toyota Hiace campervan. We only need a second 'bedroom' as we have all cooking etc facilities in the Hiace. Solar panels on the roof, a deep cycle battery for LED lighting and device charging,, perfect.

G’day …. They are a nice light little unit indeed. They’re a premium grade inner ply frame and then they have an outer shell of an aluminium composite from memory. Being that it is aluminium on the outside, they do a whole range of colours as well which is pretty cool. loved your review of the tear drop camper. Looking at coming over to Australia and doing some touring around and this looks like you could pull it without needed a ute. Perhaps a Nissan Qasqai 2 litre or similar. Can you use a inner sprung mattress or does it need to be a special size?

Thanks for the kind words mate and welcome to Oz when you get here. ( what part of the world are you from ?) yeah there’s not a huge weight in these with them starting around 385 - 400 kg’s ( 190 - 200 lb’s ) so most smaller cars would do it I believe. Pretty sure an inner spring mattress will fit too, a double I think from memory 👍 cheers and thanks for the comment

They need to get stock and put in caravan yards for people to see as a option it's almost impossible to find them to look at as normally man to order
@4WheelingInNSW
2 жыл бұрын
Yes I do agree it would be awesome to have half a dozen or more on display however I think the set up costs to do that for a one man show, the cost would be exorbitant plus it’s like anything ‘custom’, which ones do you display and in which configuration etc ... difficult one that but I understand what you’re saying. I know frank usually has one or two available to look at, that’s how I got to film those ones, and I’m sure a fall to him anytime would confirm what he has for display purposes as such. Thanks for the comments 😉👍🇦🇺

@@4WheelingInNSW yeah I understand it's very costly but until thier out their in public like other caravan maker's will struggle to get market place and they'll be even more sort after soon if electric vehicles come in no one going to be able to pull the larger vans so are in a unique spot for marketing as well they need to get together with reseller and get them to help with cost to stock in yards and more of incentive for yards to push as invested in the vans on their lot cheers

Ian Osborne mate they’re brilliant for smaller tow vehicles, that’s what appealed to me to share them. Subaru’s, small SUV’s etc would have no dramas towing one of these. And tear drops are a huge seller in the states which is why I’m surprised more people here aren’t embracing them. I really love their design, so simple to pull up road side when tired, cook your meal and jump straight into bed - bugger all set up effort. Cheers mate. 👍
