Thanks for the video! Just demoed a Tl10v2 since we have loved our Takeuchi's but this machine just plain sucked. So went over to a mustang dealer today and actually really liked the mustang and this just made our decision clear on what we are going with. Thanks again

Thanks for the video. I’m currently looking at the 2021 manitou 2550. Same machine basically. But this one about the only video on these that I can find. It’s hard to choose this over a kubota because kubota is everywhere and parts are everywhere too. But I may still go with manitou because I love my Gehl 7800 and it’s designed almost identical to this one. Thanks for the video

For anyone interested,i run ASV.They ride like a caddilac and go thru anything,then it ends.ASV for anyone working in a lot of aggregate,be careful,there undercarriages are soft,and you really have to take care of the underneath compared to ductile iron or cast idlers.Ive had 2 asv's and there undercarriage parts are very expensive,which is not bad,but they have to last,and they don't.if your a landscaper in high,dry subdivision work,there fine.if you work in all aspects,wet,dry,gravel,rock,i would steer away from ASV,just my personal experience,and i baby my equipment.Mustang,gehl,manitou all the same machines and there good.Kubota,takeuchi are about top dog,the best,but these mustang and gehl machines are very good.Just my opinion.

good review. you should do a video on it pushing dirt. the Kubota and Cat have the Anti-Stall drive motors that gives them the advantage over other machines when it comes to pushing power. How has the emission burn off been for you. Heard story's about the burn off emissions on Yanmar engines, if you accidently shut machine off while it's doing a regen. I like hydraulic over hydraulic controls and sliding door. very interested in a 1000hr review

Thanks Dan! I will try and make one and upload it. I think I’ve only stalled the machine out pushing dirt 2 times in over 2 years of use. I’m telling you, it’s beefy. This machine compares much closer to a Cat 279d than a 259d. Emission burn off does like normal. I’ve accidentally shut off during it one time. It fires back up. I always make sure the throttle is all the way up and just let it do it’s thing. I’m at 608hrs right now...i will post an update soon and try to load some more videos. 👍

How many extras did you opt for. I am going to buy a new track loader and it’s between this one and an ASV. I am leaning toward this one haven’t demo’d either yet. Have a Case 450B which I’m putting an engine rebuild kit in it and a 2014 Hyundai CR80-9 with 320hrs. Great machine All for my farm but starting a small company with son on weekends to do much like you. Gonna get a dump truck and good trailer. Also have a 2007 Massey Ferguson 5455 with 8’ bucket as well as a new 8’ Road Dragon and box blade Over in Southeast Texas so no competition Suggestions would help. Thx

I really like mine Mr. Gayle! I got almost everything i could except for high flow. I really like the cab, totally worth the extra 5k in my opinion. I can’t tell you the amount of times I’ve stirred up a yellow jacket nest and had them attack my window. Thanking God for the cab on those days. Any ground work you do around here will stir them up. Air ride seat is nice as well, really like it. Overall the machine does really well doing a lot of different tasks...auto track tensioning is Also great. Good luck with everything!

Have you had to change the engine fan yet because we are having to do that on our 2100 RT and I think we have to take the radiator out. What are your thoughts on that

How do you clean out the radiator? Does it pull out or tilt out like the Kubota SVL-75? We are looking at running though brush and clearing and are concerned about chocking up the radiator with leaves and debris and not being able to clean it out.
@Tannerlocke89

Hey Josiah! I’m not sure, but i don’t think it tilts like the Kubota. I have rinsed my with a hose, but that’s it. I do a fare amount of brush cutting but haven’t really found much debris getting down there. I know Cat has a reverse fan feature that blows it out. I thought that was pretty cool.

Jay Baker hey! I just passed 300hrs on my machine, overall it’s been awesome. had a couple of small issues but nothing out of the ordinary. I would HIGHLY recommend the 2150. I don’t know much about the 2500 though. If it were me, i would try and find a 2150rt... or a 3200vt if your looking for more power. There’s a great mustang dealer in Dallas, ga called L and N Supply. If it were me, I’d call them and ask for Zach. I’m sure he’d be able to give you better advice as to which model to go with. Hope this helps!

thanks for the video. What are the few things that you don't like and thought they could have done better? Also how tight is the cab? a clean dust free cab is huge for me. Any problems with your machine so far?
@Tannerlocke89
4 жыл бұрын
Hey David- Im at around 350 hrs on it. ive had a couple of small switch issues...The switch that locks the hydraulics on for my brush cutter isn't working right, the hydraulics switch works great, but the detent that keeps them locked on doesn't work. Ive got to schedule a time to go get it fixed. Also the Automatic quick coupler stopped working and had to be replaced. Ive heard that was common on any machines with those, (a friend of mine had some tachuechi's with the same problem) but I wasn't happy because there is virtually no way to get your attachment off without it. I would prob get the manual if I could go back just so I wouldn't have to go through that again. The cab isn't as tight as the CAT I demoed... I actually went out and bought a piece of rubber for the bottom of the door because I could see a small crack of light...I deal with yellow jackets all the time.. =) ... BUT I like the door on the mustang so much better that It didnt really matter to me. The door on the Mustang folds up in front of you, so you can operate the machine with it open or closed. Its also much easier to get in and out of than the CAT. Those are the two issues that I've had. I demoed a CAT 259D before I bought this..and the cat was awesome. I would even say the interior is a bit nicer. BUT the 2150RT Sold me over the Cat because it was stronger (more pushing power) and much easier to work on. I also loved the door system and the automatic track tensioner. I just felt like they put more thought in the design. Plus the guys I bought it from at L and N Supply in Dallas, Ga were super awesome to deal with. I never felt like a small customer to them. Hope this helps you make your decision! Please feel free to reach out if you have any other questions. I love talking about equipment.

Hey thanks a lot for the video. I’m actually sitting in the one, Manitou 2150RT, I’m potentially buying right now. I really like everything about it except a couple of things. The one I don’t mind is the power to pull and drag is less than my Cat but the push power is more so I’m good. The major issue I have is, it’s beating me up. When I’m running it moving dirt or gravel, usually I’m at full throttle. For some reason, when I empty the bucket and turn or go over a significant ground change, the tractor bounces. I hit my head twice and my elbows a few times. My Cat 287B is solid and stays on the ground without bouncing. Do you experience the same? If not am I missing something? One of my foreman’s ran it to and said the same. Thanks
@Tannerlocke89

Hey Brian! I understand what your saying! I believe the 287b has the rollers…(multi terrain tracks) and i bet that’s what makes the difference. I’ve only every ran normal tracks, so I’m not sure of the advantages/disadvantages. The wide tracks on a 2150 probably don’t turn as smooth as those as well. My 2150 feels about the same as other ctl’s I’ve operated around 10k lbs. Do you have the air ride seat? That helps some…still not a crazy smooth ride though.

@@Tannerlocke89 yeah my Hyundai CR80 excavator has a Yanmar engine. I love it. Yanmar is kick ass. I imagine I will get the high flow and backup camera. As well as if it has a way to set a slow gear and high rpm etc. I’m a gadget guy so I imagine I’ll spend an extra 5-10 just on upgrades. If you don’t mind me asking did you pay mid 50s for yours?

Jay I love the fuel fill. It’s one of my favorite parts. I can pull up right beside my tank, don’t have to access the engine door etc. My old Case fuel fill was by the engine, right by the fan. i bet it is tough filling with containers though. That’s a lot of containers!
