Butterflying them would have worked. Since we didn't, we ended up just sharing one since they were so large. But the recipe was delicious, and we were very happy to have received it. Thank you so much for being a part of our channel.

Tom, you can also just pound the crumbs in the original bag BEFORE opening it.

I could have, but I wanted the viewers to see the size of the pieces both before and after they were crushed. The ZipLoc bag worked perfectly. I considered using a small food processor but thought that might be overkill. A food processor would do a good job making fine crumbs for coating though.

Most likely the original bag would have popped open from the pressure and the crumbs would have fallen out. Smart to use the zip lock bag.

@@donnafilice5457, I have crushed chips, dressing, etc. in the original bag many times, but you're absolutely right about the air pressure. I always pull the top apart about one-inch to release the air pressure and then crunch them.

When I went to visit my best friend, she lined her baking sheet with parchment paper, then covered it with breadcrumbs. She breaded the chicken with her hands, just like you did with the 9x13, but I loved that there was no extra pan to clean up. Just sharing her method

This looks yummy! A lot of people use Mustard as a binder for rubs in the bbq world but you never taste it. I'll bet this recipe would taste amazing with the "Frenches" fried onions. We smash them up the same way and put them in chicken tenders. I think those chickens had memberships to the local gym and did steroids! 🤣

I think it would be fun to experiment with different kinds of mustard. Dijon is first. I used to be able to find a green peppercorn mustard that was especially delicious.

I started doing this in the late 70's. You can use stuffing, breadcrumbs, finely diced pecans. The mayo/mustard keeps the chicken breaststroke or tenders moist.

Oh man. , this is a home run.!!!! Just wanted you to know. , this is so good served with cranberry sauuce. Oh course. , I serve cranberry sauce when I make a chicken pot pie. I cooked this last night. , with fresh green beans with bacon drippings. , mashed potaoes. , cranberry sauce and yeast rolls. Wanted you to know. , that a good time was had by all.!!!!
