Mutton Dalcha recipe
Daal Gosht, a delicious dish made with lentils and meat:
Ingredients:
1 cup mixed lentils (such as Arhar daal, Masoor daal, Moong daal, and Chana daal), washed and soaked for 30 minutes
1 kg mutton or beef, cut into pieces
3 onions, finely chopped
2 tomatoes, finely chopped
2 inch cinnamon stick (daalchini)
2 big cardamom (badi elaichi)
2 green cardamom (choti elaichi)
4 cloves (laung)
1/2 tablespoon peppercorns (kali mirch)
2 bay leaves ( tejpatta)
7-8 curry leaves (curry patta)
9-10 cloves of garlic (lehsun)
2-inch piece of ginger (adrak)
5-6 green chilies
1 teaspoon cumin powder (zeera)
1 teaspoon coriander powder (dhaniya)
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder (haldi)
1 teaspoon red chili powder (lal mirch)(adjust according to your taste)
1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander leaves, chopped for garnish
Fresh mint leaves
1 Lemon juice
Oil or ghee for cooking
