Those are some fine additions to your shooting gear and apparel. I hope that they will be used for many years to come in your journey. So many of us, when we get into muzzleloading, want it all... right out of the gate. But, it takes time, research, and thought to achieve a well-used, authentic look. It's the same thing when it comes to shooting. Lots of practice is necessary, in all kinds of conditions, until the movements are smooth and flow from one to the next, without conscious thought. The process begins again every time a new piece of gear or a new movement is incorporated. Consistency is the goal. This was very enjoyable to watch, and thanks for sharing your efforts with us! Well done!

Thank you. Yes, I'm still trying to get more fluent with my loading because it seems that when I run across small game there is usually a couple in the area and you tend to get action in bursts. Then nothing for a whole day🙂 Thank you for watching!

That’s a very nice shot snake. I bought half a hide on Amazon and I’ve been making all sorts of shot pouches and other things with my leather. It’s great fun. I use my vintage Singer regular sewing machine and they do a fine job. I hand sew as well. All your gear is very nice. I make historical clothing as well and I can say you did a great job. I’d like to see how you did it in a future video. Just out of curiosity. I love muzzle loading, my whole family does.

Hi Nathan: For what it's worth? When you use the same measure for both powder AND shot, that's called a "Square Load." I don't know if you needed to know that or not, but I thought I'd pass it along. Your viewers might like that info. Good, entertaining, informative videos as always. Keep 'em comin' God bless: Two Feathers

Thanks! I did hear that mentioned but forgot about it. I'm still experimenting with loads. Been trying some turkey loads and having moderate success with patterns

'Twas a wonderfully informative Video but I was very, VERY disappointed with the ending... you put us all on an "Anticlimactic Cliffhanger" by loading yet NOT pulling the Trigger!!! 🤣

Hello Nathan: I've been so busy with my knife and accoutrements business that I haven't been on line much. I'd love to see you shoot a video on MAKING that shot snake? Thank you very much. I'm a subscriber and I'll try to get on here more often? I miss and love your videos, please make more. I'm very interested in "how to" videos for your accoutrements. How do you fill that shot snake? God bless: Two Feathers Proprietor of: The Mountain Man Emporium

Hi I haven’t heard from you in a while. I’ve been so busy I haven’t got around to making a video but I’ve been on frontier quests last two videos so be sure to check them out. That’s a good idea on the snake video. I haven’t been Completely idle and have been working on a better pattern for them. I am actually in the middle of two of them right now and a man is helping me figure out a brass spout. Hopefully once I get them worked out and things settle down in the next month or so I can get a video out

Did you have any historical references for that shot snake? I would like to look at those.

Mostly in paintings. Here is a link where there are a lot of images. If you look closely you can see the men wearing them. Mostly from 1770s www.scribd.com/document/248435350/Sports-Sportsmen-Hunting-Part-I

Dixie gun works sells reproduction shot charger heads in both English and Irish styles. I've seen one original that has the Irish style head on it. The link in the description has a few of the clearer paintings.

I've been doing more research on them and hope to put together a video on the information I've collected in the next couple weeks
