I didn't expect a "relaunch" or "reissue" of zakk pedals. For what I heard from other YT channels, it's like MXR version of the SD1 but with a little more compression. On the other hand, I really hope that someday a company will be able to recreate the Yamaha SPX90 Chorus effect that Zakk was known for on a fisical pedal, only Overloud was able to do that thanks to Michael Nielsen on plugin format

The Spawn sound killer with the overdrive. I used to have his original OD in the early 2000s. Wish I didn't part with it.

Oh, buyers regret! You're listening to guitarists LUNACY in this video. You're not allowed 🚫 to experiment with a fully tuned setup. You're only allowed to plug in EMG PICKUPS. Other types of pickups won't activate these pedals.

Killer OD! Have you tried Amptweaker Tight Drive? I just got one today to push my 5150 Stealth 50 watt blue channel, has some nice nice options like fat, tight, plexi or smooth and a gate! You might really dig it! Cheers!

I play through my Orange Super Crush 100 head with a crappy, but good sounding Kustom 4X12 cab. Ive tried a BOSS Super OD and a few others and it sounds horrible. I put my BOSS 7 band eq through the fx loop and get what everybody is trying to get with an OD pedal and then some. Maybe I need a tube amp to enjoy some of these overdrive pedals. Lol

why you start on a distorted channel instead of the clean channel? Then add the pedal? Sounds are too similar.

I really like the riff you play at 6:42, it sounds like something George Lynch would do in Dokken.....where is it from, can you give a lesson or tutorial on how to play it?

Wish the bozos would leave you alone Jarrod. It is ok you do not have a Marshall. I do believe you should own one but to each his own. Life would be so boring if we all had the same exact stuff.

Would you trade your EVH phaser for the wylde phaser ? And the chorus I know the wylde chorus sounds better then the EVH chorus the EVH chorus has a ring in it that destroys the effect

That pedal is hype, pure hype. It should be $99 at best not $129 or higher. The Boss SD-1 has more to offer when the drive is at it lowest compared to this pedal. The drive at its lowest is very weak. I had to crank the knob up to the 9-10 o’clock position to get some grit on my amp. Keep in mind I do not do the clean + od chime crap, it’s the dirty channel + od that I want and this pedal doesn’t tighten up the tone compared to your traditional od pedals. It has its place when you chug tug your strings but a fast tight Slayer’deth’rax sound isn’t achievable with this pedal. Another draw back is it isn’t battery powered, but if you have 30 pedals powered in by your board then it’s ok, I prefer just one pedal and don’t need the clutter. Overall I give this pedal a solid C- in its performance and presentation.

I love zakk but this is so dumb.they dont sound bad but who would ever buy these? They are not special or ubique in any way shape or form. It a money grab. Hes way way too late to the game. This are literally just copies of mxr pedals with a new paint job. All these pedals companies just putting out the same damn thing year after year after year. The only innovation is going in within the digital world and im mostly an analog guy.

Wow, That's all I can say. I am blown away by this video.......and not in a good way. 3 things I'll bring to your attention: 1) you use way too much gain. Sounds like bacon frying in a jet engine. 2) Stacking an Overdrive into a high gain amp is a Waste of Gain. Sizzle much? 3) you didn't play a single Ozzy riff or ZaKK Wylde riff? The most famous riff that Zakk wrote was Crazy Train and you couldn't even play it? How About Bark At the Moon? That's another great Zakk riff. And No More Tears? Zakk Wylde has been writing great riffs for Ozzy since 1981. And he has his own Nu-Metal & Biker Metal band called Black Labor Society. I am a huge Zakk fan and this video was a dissapointing demonstration of 3 of Zakks best pedals. That being said, I bought all 3. I know I CAN MAKE THEM SOUND GOOD. No bacon frying jet engines at my studio. And I play in stereo just like the albums are recorded in. At least Motor City was a great shopping experience.

Agree with you. But Zakk begin writing for Ozzy in 1988, first written song is Miracle man. I'm also a huge Zakk fan. He wrote epic riffs and his sound is awesome💪🏾
