Hi Dave, I'm glad you took the time to have a look at a Rieju. I'm sorry I can't tell you the fuel ratio for the day as I just picked it up for testing and it had fuel in it. Your correct it was smokey and I feel it was because on the day of filming (stop and starting the bike ) it was cold and we really didn't have much room to ride and get it warmed up unfortunately. I do have a MR300 and run it at 40:1 which works fine. It was a mistake by us to not get the bike warmed up for filming.. I hope that helps

Awesome looking bike I just really don't understand the mapping switches just give it full power from the factory and learn the skills you need to ride a bike all the creature comforts at nice even on road bikes these days but people are just forgetting to learn the skills that are more useful then all the bells and whistles will ever be

@RevengeFromAngel all good dude I'm just of the view that if you learn all these skills then you have them to fall back on when the extra things might fail on you when you Out in the middle of nowhere use them all you like I would just turn everything off I feel better about myself know my skills helped me overcome an obstacle it's like when my kids want hacks or cheat codes for their ps4 engine characteristics can be found with throttle control

A Map switch is simply a change in the power delivery of the bike much the same as jetting and gearing changes would do, you cant tell me you would just ‘use your bike skills’ to overcome a fuel mixture that is way too rich by just ringing its neck harder because you simply cant hold the thing flat stick everywhere so you jet to suit the power delivery you prefer and the riding conditions. map switch is the same principle you want less power and more traction bang rain mode switch kinda of like an instant jetting change on the fly its not crazy technology it just retards the timing simple effective tech 👍🏼

@@MrBobbit666 haha simple jetting and bike set up seems to confuse you unfortunately we cant help you there. Your learn to adapt to whatever set up attitude just seems more of a laziness thing again thats on you as a basic set up of what the bike is supplied with is free, suspension/ jetting, lever positions, gear selector etc but the benefits of having a correctly set up bike improve your riding experience thats why bikes have continued to develop and not just stayed with old technology that yes worked but now new tech is better eg suspension is 10x better then what it used to be back when my dad rode on a yz250J. correct jetting to suit the climate you ride in is necessary because unfortunately there isnt a jetting spec that will work below 0* upto 40* + , sea level upto 3000m give it more of less throttle just doesnt work. I take it getting the correct spring rate fitted in the suspension to suit your individual weight falls into the category of unnecessary i suppose but just to let you know wow it makes your ride so much better not destroying wrists by bottoming out springs way to soft for you but yeh each to their own hey sounds like a new tpi bike would suit you just put fuel in and ride where are the rieju is a riders bike and suit people who like to tinker in mu opinion

Make great toquie carby power, much better than the TPI. Forks and Shock are just amazing compared to WP Explor. But they are firm and you need to commit to things. Big long bike that fits 6 foot plus 90kg Ausi guys, very stable in the woops in single track, but dont be sitting down like a pussy. The starter motor design sucks and the linkage bearings are made of cheese. Because Rieju is really just assembling a bunch of after market bits in their frame, you can buy alot of - Honda and Yamaha OEM bits - Example Conrod is a Japanese Prox CR250R rod

What do you reckon James,. MR300 pro or SE 300 for 115kg 6ft fastish enduro rider?
@jamesal0
Жыл бұрын
@@benwatson2608 it wont care, you will need to up the fork springs to .44 at least and maybe .46. The std shock spring will probably be ok. make sure you do the wet mod for the starter motor if you buy an earlier one. It's std in the later bikes 2020. I upgraded the 170AH battery to a 240AH Lithium battery in mine and use the electric leg hot and cold any time. I never kick mine. Lean it over and flood the carb on first start of the day, then use choke. Once it's warm you will never need choke. The needle should be changed for Suzuki RM250 2T needle NEDW (buckets of bottom end and mid ) or NECW (slightly leaner). They splooge abit and you can't really fix without destroying their amazing bottom end and making them all motorcrossey. They will not boil even without a fan, so long as you use NEDW. Use 60:1 motul800 oil with 98. Second hand they all ware-out the left main bearing. Pull the left cover/starter motor off. Try and move the flywheel rotor up and down. Any vertical movement it's due. I got about 250hours on my first bearing, I did both bearings and the con-rod while I was in there. Pretty normal for 2T enduro bikes. I'm still running the original piston and rings at nearly 300 hours . If you have a choice get the MR 300 Pro. They have the red S3 head - it helps with making jetting easier. The clutch will squawk in high slip /load situations. Ignore it it's normal . I run 12:52 gearing but we ride nasty rocky hill/gullies, single track. This gearing gives me a 4x4 low range 1st to get out of trouble and 2nd is my normal first. The gearing spacing is just magic. Perfectly spaced gear ratios. KTM EXC (wide ratio) have disgusting first 2nd gear gap you could drive a truck through. The needle roller on the bottom of the shock will die every 6-12 months but you can buy the kit for $40 for any late YZ250 with KYB at MXstore. Keep the linkage/swing arm bearing well greased, particularly if you are riding in wet conditions . I run Shinko or goldentire Fatty 90/100x21 on the front and Shinko 140/80-18 (70R) gummy or soft/med on the rear. 7.5psi front and 8psi rear. It sticks like shit to a blanket so to speak, can ride up things no one else can

It's just a 2019 Gas Gas but with Chinese components & name but they are asking about same money for this as the equivalent Gas Gas made by KTM. Personally, if I were to buy a brand new Chinese enduro I'd rather save 4-5 grand & buy a GPX with phenomenal after sales service & customer support & riding community support. They have proven to be tough reliable bikes that are competitive on the racing circuit.

Spanish hand built bike with best Euro / Jap components you can buy. What let it down was the starter motor and lack of cash in the company to develop a integral unit like Sherco/KTM. But in every other way they are so much better then KTM/GASGAS/Husky 250/300's TPI , WP vomit
