Well done, followed from a comment on another vid. I did a tandem jump at North London Skydive Centre. One of the most exhilarating experiences of my life, so far!

Sorry I've on just seen your comment. Thanks for watching. Skydiving is bloody brilliant. I wish I had the bravery to do it 20 years earlier. I did my 3rd tandem jump a couple of weeks ago which can be seen on my channel. The view was spectacular. The clouds just made it look like a blanket of snow! Get some more jumps in while you can or if you want top skydiving try wingwalking. There's nothing like the view from the top wing of a Boeing Stearman!

I’ve recently had a couple of tandem skydives with Macauley at Skydive Langar. He’s about the best I’ve jumped with.

Saw ur comment from another video. Looks fun. Planning on doing this as soon as I can! I turn 18 in January. Probably gotta wait til May. Can’t wait! Good shit btw. Adrenaline must be amazing. Really trynna do this before I go to boot camp for the Marines. Might as well pay an extra $100 for high altitude at 18,500 feet if this is the only time I’ll jump

Thanks for watching! You will love it! I want to do more jumps but I've been distracted with wing walking and other aerobatic flights this year. Skydiving is amazing. I started skydiving at the age of 45 and wish I'd started at your age! You've got many jumps ahead of you. My skydiving cameraman, Henk, has done over 23,000 jumps. He started as a paratrooper in the military and now does tandem/tandem filming jumps most weekends. I'm excited for you because I know you'll love it and I know you'll do many more jumps. Blue skies brother!

Awww, you looked SO much more excited this time around than your 10,000 ft one! In your 10,000 ft video you looked downright terrified and uncomfortable the whole time! In my video I was literally excited the entire time, NO FEAR at any point! I cannot WAIT to do it again this year!!

Thanks for watching them! You're so right about my first jump! I even rejected the pre-jump interview in case I wandered off! The fear had only just gone as I was getting kitted up and despite my apprehensive face I did actually enjoy the entire flight from take off in the plane to landing under canopy. Also, I used to be a terrible passenger in a car and I had never flown in a plane smaller than a commercial airliner so I didn't know how I was going to react to the plane flight either. The loudness of that plane's engine was doing nothing for my nerves! So I had a few fears to overcome and overcome them I have! I want to do another skydive this year. They are addictive aren't they! Meanwhile, just over a week ago I had an aerobatic flight in a 1942 bi-plane complete with two loops and one stall turn! I'll upload that flight when I receive the footage from GoFly Salisbury. My first bi-plane experience (which is on my channel already) was last year when I was strapped to the top wing of a 1944 Boeing Stearman as it flew around! I did the Wing Walk because I wondered if there was anything out there that could top skydiving! I'd say it DOES top skydiving! It's the scariest thing I've done but this time I was determined to be positive about the experience and I waved my way throughout the entire flight and didn't hold on AT ALL! My arm sockets ached for a WEEK afterwards! If you like rollercoasters then you will LOVE a Wing Walk! I'm going back there in the summertime to experience loops, barrel rolls and stall turns while stood on top of that bi-plane!

@@georgejacob3162 I LOVE rollercoasters!! I'm not sure there's a place where I could do a wing walk near me here in the US, but I could certainly look into it! I'm already looking into doing another tandem skydive here at the same facility coming up in June. It was FREEZING when I did it on April 13th!! I hear it's a much better experience in the warmer/hotter months!

Mason's Wing Walk Academy of Sequim, Washington teach proper wing walking. They teach the proper daredevil walking on the wing stuff! I think there are about 11 places in the States where they do wing walking but maybe not all of them accommodate paying passengers. Mason's certainly do though. But yes you may fond one nearer to you than Mason's. My nearest wing walk place was only 15 miles or 30 minutes drive time from me and I'd never heard of them until last year!

AmyPalooza. Just uploaded my latest Wing Walk complete with aerobatic loops and stall turns so you can see what that's like if you wish! It's a 150+ mph and up to 2,200ft high rollercoaster but not as scary as you think!

Thanks! I deliberately kept it simple on the first jump with only the wrist-camera. My second jump had to be go big or go home so I got the skydiving cameraman to come along. The skydiving cameraman gave me something else to focus on as I was watching him and attempting to shake his hand but he didn't want to know. I was so focussed on shaking his hand that I forgot about the parachute! Just after the Instructor deployed the parachute I said to him "Oh yeah! I forgot about that!"

Thanks for watching my videos! I never thought I would do anything like this but I decided to push myself to the limit only to surprise myself and find that I haven't got anywhere near my limit! The pilot didn't give me a Barrel Roll on my Wing Walk flight due to turbulent weather so I want my Wing Walk Barrel Roll next time! Also, having completed the 'Utter Nutter' aerobatic flight I now want to do the 'Insanity' aerobatic flight next year. That is about 20 airshow quality aerobatic manoeuvres performed without a break. Possibly do another tandem skydive. The scariest thing I've done has got to be the bungee jump. Maybe I'll do another one.

Hello, thank you for the video and I subscribed. Can you please tell me after you have jumped did it feel as if you were falling or flying before the parachute opened? how does it feel to be pulled upwards when the shoot opens? Great video.
@georgejacob3162

Paul Hetherton. Thanks for watching and subscribing! Upon leaving the aircraft the instructor throws out a drogue chute. This prevents tandems falling any faster than 125 mph. You can fall at up to 200 mph without the drogue and you would not want the main parachute opening at 200 mph! So 125 mph is all a tandem can do and once you reach 125 mph it simply feels as though you are stationary in the air. It's like you are floating! When the main parachute opens it's like doing an emergency stop in a car. It's a little uncomfortable but bearable. I was super scared before my first jump but after the canopy opened I said to my instructor "What was I worried about?" I found it to be more fun than scary. My second jump was like a walk in the park! I suggest you try Indoor Skydiving first. You just walk into the wind chamber and then you get the feeling of the free fall but without the height. Nothing compares to the real thing though! Once you are out of that door it is pure BLISS!

How did it feel when the parachute was opened?
@georgejacob3162

Thanks for watching! The parachute opens gradually so that it isn't too uncomfortable. The reserve parachutes are usually the ball breakers as they are designed to open pretty much instantly. I actually forgot about the parachute on this jump! I was too distracted by attempting to shake the cameraman's hand!

Does it feel scary and like on a roller coaster downwards you know that feeling when your going down?
@georgejacob3162
5 жыл бұрын
I found that it isn't scary at all! Once you are out of that plane it is absolute BLISS! The air pressure is pushing against your body and it feels as though you are floating even though you are falling at 125 mph! Watch an experienced Indoor Skydive Instructor maintaining stable flight (floating) and then realise that that is what a proper skydive feels like. The initial exit from the plane doesn't feel like a roller coaster to me. I think the forward motion of the plane means that you fall in a slightly curved way to start with rather than just straight down. I certainly didn't get the 'stomach drop' feeling on either of my skydives. By the way, I don't like roller coasters but I'd definitely skydive again! Also I did a Wing Walk stood on the top wing of a 70 year old Boeing bi-plane last year during which the pilot did a manoeuvre which they innocently call 'The Bump'. 'The Bump' involves a steep incline and then they level out and then immediately go into a steep decline and that DOES feel like a roller coaster as you are momentarily weightless There is no weightless feeling with skydiving. Anyway, I recommend doing an Indoor Skydive first to get the feeling of the free-fall but without the height. I hope that helps and that you will exit that plane soon!

Thanks for watching! Unfortunately I cannot answer your question for sure. You will have to contact the dropzone of your choice and inform them of your condition. They will probably send you a form for your doctor to sign. Hopefully your doctor will sign it and you will enjoy your skydive! I wish you good luck!
