As Remi turns 17 weeks old, him and Mia get quail eggs for a treat and they spend a lot of time playing with each other. They play a lot together, and sometimes we will separate them if they get too "rough", but this doesn't happen too much because they are just having fun. They will gently bite each-others ears or legs and have a general wrestle. You can tell if it gets too rough if they suddenly start barking at each other or if one of them starts to do something else and disengages. If you are not sure, our dog trainer told us to do "consent" tests, where you pick up the dog that seems to be bothering the other one, and you see if the other dog wants to continue to play or walks away (walking away indicating they are over playing with the other dog).
