Hello Ms Offset. The courier delivered my left handed Fiesta Red Jag-Stang this morning (a Sunday!). Seeing you asked, I really don't see many differences? The biggest is the shade of red, yours appears to be 'RED' where as mine isn't. The colour is hard to describe but I guess it has more orange? Also, it's missing the "designed by Kurt Cobain" which is a shame. Everything else looks the same to me. I'm an average sized man who has only ever played violin and mandolin so the scale length, FB radius and neck thickness were a big part of my choice. It's easy to get in left handed and designed by a famous left hander. I like the pickups. Maybe you could buy a current Sonic Blue Jag-Stang and make a comparison video?

Cool video, I’ve got one of the first Jagstangs from USA imported to UK, great feel, cool sound, the paint is terrible, damages soo easily, got a lovely original Fender Jagstang hard case with it also, put it through a Fender twin reverb with a tube screamer and ds1, great sound !!??

7.25 radius is great and easy to play if not bending strings much. Chords in first position are a breeze so they have their utility for sure. Thanks for showing Kurt’s drawings of the guitar Ashley.

Not sure if you see comments on older videos, but just FYI: Notches midway up the back of the neck are from the guitar being dropped onto, or prolonged storage on, a cheap guitar stand. If you'd prefer the scoring on the pickguard not be there, a replacement mother-of-pearl Jag-Stang pickguard is only ~$15. You didn't mention it, but he hole in the bottom face of the cylindrical tailpiece is for a whammy bar; if you don't have it, the ~$10 replacement tremolo arm differs from the Stratocaster as it's much longer.

My first Fender was a Mustang that I got it in 1969. Short scale guitars are definitely easier to play. I was in a band and we practiced in an old warehouse belonging to a friend of the family. My guitar stand was a concrete block with a hole in the bottom for the base and a stack of concrete blocks to hold the neck so the notches I had on the back of my guitar neck were from the concrete blocks LOL!! I think the most unique sound was the out-of-phase on both pickups. Excellent demo! Gave you a shout out on my last video. All the best!

I just sat there saying, "wow". So very kind. I'm also laughing about your concrete guitar stand! I wonder if that's what the previous owner of my guitar had going on. Another person in the comments mentioned the same thing! Anyway, thank you for always having such kind words. I look forward to your next video!

Holy shit.. during the 90´s i was (and still am) a huge Nirvana fan, i bought all the albums and singles, even the import ones and the bootleg ones that i got from my local CD store, he had a catalog from where to order quite decent bootleg CD´s and rare imports. In 1996 i was totally in to buying a Jag-Stang because it was something that Kurt designed from he´s vision of the most perfect guitar, i could not find a Jag-Stang, this was way before it was possible to get anything on ebay or such. in 1998 i ended up with a 1998 Candy Apple Red Fender Cyclone, the owner of the musicstore said that well,.. its just like a Jag-Stang, i said, well, but its not, because Kurt did not design this. But i bought it and i had it for some years. Then my life crashed and i had to sell most of my guitars so i sold it. Today i dont really have a need to have a Jag-Stang because i am more in to Gibson´s, but i really like the Jag-Stang and the looks of it.. Really nice Nirvana riffs at the end of the video.. if i can wish a song from you to play it would be Serve The Servants, because its a super great song.. :D Thanks

@@AshleyOffset And they are offset guitars. In fact, if you compare an EVH Wolfgang to a Jaguar or Jazzmaster side-by-side, the similarity is readily apparent. The MusicMan Axis with the flat top preserves the additional similarity -- the arch top of the Wolfgang creates an additional point of difference but in the end it doesn't make huge difference in how the guitar plays.

@@AshleyOffset My pleasure... also, here's some unsolicited feel better... I never dropped a guitar in my life. I started playing same age as you. I bought a 60th anny R9 ( I was 60 then...) and a Dunlop straplock at the top bout gave way and the headstock slammed right into my pedalboard. I have a sold crush on the back head wing.
