How come you took stat 200 instead of 251, isn’t 251 a requirement in the cpsc degree?

so ur gonna sit there with a straight face and tell me that drawing arrows in UML diagrams and coding in Java is harder than implementing a sudoku solver in racket?

@@JackHeTech ig u right but 210 was harder to get a high grade in because of the exam weighing and how it’s easier to lose part marks on questions in 210. Also I thought that Gregors edx videos were much clearer and more organized than Elisa’s

Hey Jack! I recently just got admitted to UBC Science and wanted to pursue CS. I really love the video you shared! In addition to that, I'd also like to know if you would recommend combine CS with any other sciences? I am afraid combining other courses would pull my GPA down since I need to take courses related to other fields as well. Also, Is combined major more competitive than regular CS? I'd like to hear your advice!

Thanks and congratulations! I would say only pursue combined major with CS if this other major is something you're passionate about. University classes are much easier if you actually like what you do, and your GPA will reflect that. Pure CS and combined CS competitiveness is about the same.

Are all the courses lectures in person. How is the First year first - FYF program, heard these are on line courses!! this is a problem - is it worth it to apply for major CS in the second year ?. Can you suggest a balanced course schedule to get CS major - not very difficult or too easy. I have done java and python program already.

Hi, will all courses took in the first year ( whole winter term) be evaluated equally while applying for CS? or will cpsc and math courses have some weight/priority on it ?

Hey Jack! Just wondering if you'd suggest taking CPSC 213 and 221 in the same term, I took 110 and 121 in the same term and it was okay for me
