Hello everyone, it's Solomon Chau here and I'm just doing a brief rundown and review of my leased 2021 Honda Civic before I return it. I summoned just enough of my strength and courage to initiate this video. I don't do too many videos like this, because I'm lazy. Well, I've pulled it off. Whatever is here in this video, this is it. Before I realize it, the car will be returned.
In hindsight, my experience with my 2021 Honda Civic (base model) is that it's okay. Huh, there's not much really else to it. It's good looking enough, starts up correctly, drives comfortably enough, and will get you from Point A to Point B. Do you really need all these extra bells and whistles? Do you really need to YOLO it? No, I know myself. No, I don't need all of these additional luxuries. Whether my car has this or that doesn't really matter to me. As long as it starts and can get me to work and back, I seriously don't care. Sorry, I'm just not that kind of person who spends a ton of money on car and driver stuff. I don't believe my quality of life would change much just because I'm driving a fancier model than the guy next to me.
In conclusion, I'm probably just going to stick with another base model moving forward. I really don't care. I don't care. I don't care about leather seats. I don't care about having a spoiler. I don't care about having a sunroof. I don't care this, I don't care about that, blah, blah, blah, more additional crap packages. Also, I don't care if a pretty girl likes it or not. If she is bothered by the fact that I don't drive in the luxury sports model, she probably isn't a good fit of a human being for me. I am not about putting much emphasis on materialism. The base model of any car is fine for me. I'm just happy to be able to pay the car off and leave everything as is. I do not like using anymore of my time putting all this attention to detail towards my car. I am not my car.
Although I respect my car, it doesn't own me. I own my car. My mental and emotional health should not be tied up with what car I drive. I need my full bandwidth of different emotions and feelings to experience other things in life than what it's like owning a car. Should my car be damaged or stolen, I could just buy a new one. I don't like freaking out about something that I've put all my time and effort in. I think I'll stick to buying a new base model.
