As someone who was strictly vegan for 6 years, I love this approach to veganism. I've always said when I go to Japan I'll eat the vegan options when they're there, but I am absolutely going to have authentic sushi and Ramen. I think it's our daily habits that matter and if someone was thinking it's "all or nothing" so they never tried their best.. that's so sad!!! Just try your best. If one day you're craving that one thing, have it! It's better to be imperfectly vegan than to never cut back. (I'm an environmental scientist and I urge everyone to do their best at eating less meat and dairy ❤)

It's so interesting that you consider AG Curl Fresh Definer like a gel. I love the results I get from first day with this, but it's just not enough hold to last my 2C waves for days. It's very similar to the Verb product you developed, not enough hold for a wavy. But I still use them and put hairspray on before I sleep so I can get more out of the wash day. But I defo have a longer time between washes when I use products with more hold.
@ElaEG

Jessica, same. I got nice results with both the AG Curl Fresh Definer and with the Verb Curl Foaming Gel, but not enough hold. I'm still experimenting. I lent the Curl Fresh Definer to my daughter, but I'm trying different combinations of products with the Curl Foaming Gel to see what works best. Think I'll try it with AG Liquid Effects, someone said she got good results with it plus the Curl Foaming Gel.

I was also eating tons of pasta when I first went vegan. Then I tried again and was tired of eating so much tofu, obsessing about the protein goal of 1G per kg of weight. Now I know that it’s actually 0.8g and that’s a national average, meaning it’s a target that includes people putting on some muscle and seniors. So I’m much more relaxed about protein now and focus on variety, low saturated fats, very little sugar, very little white flours and no cheese at home. It’s been great and feel more ready to go vegan most of the time with having dairy just when eating out.

I wear contact lenses, and every new bottle of contact solution comes with a new contact case. Over time, that adds up to a lot of contact cases, but I like finding other uses for these little containers! When I travel, I don't like to lug full-size bottles of shampoo, conditioner, or product (they can leak, they are heavy, they are bulky) so I will load each "eye" of an older contact case with a hair product and then I write on the lid with a fine-tip sharpie what is inside that "eye." You can pack a LOT and they take up next to no space. They are small enough to go through TSA security (it's nice to have some in my carry-on!). They are also good for storing small earrings, a dose of ibuprofen, you name it. If you don't wear contacts, maybe you have a friend who does who will give you some lens cases! BTW - I LOVE your hair length and especially the COLOR. I'm a brunette growing out my gray. Enjoy your gorgeous rich color!
