may i please ask how far i can track my kid down with the GPS function? As far as I know this watch will pair with the parent's phone? So if he goes to school which will not be near my phone, then can i still track my son down with the GPS? THANK YOU so much!!!!

Too bad it’s not water or moist proof. Which in a wetter climate is pretty useless. Ours failed within a year and were sent a refurbished one. Only to be told there was no warranty on that one. Get a Moochies for the same money or pass your old Applewatch 4G to your child on a family plan.

Freddie has a similar one - he loves the step counter and just added a friend to message xx

Ahhh that’s so cool! I can’t imagine Harrison asking to add a friend just yet, texting Nanny and Grandad seems to be the cool thing!

How did you figure out a SIM card for it though? Can you please help

They supply a SIM card by a company called JumpySIM. That way you don't need to figure out a carrier. One thing I like about this watch vs others.

It’s great but I for sure would only get this for my child when they go into high school and become more independent... At 6yrs old my child doesn’t go anywhere on his own, I get that kids do get lost at times, however a gadget this high tech and expensive isn’t something I would give to my child, because I know there are other gadgets out their to track kids but for a 6yr old to make so many messages to family members as your son is doing I just find that personally I would want my child to be a child and not be reliant on high tech gadgets on a daily basis. If your child goes to kids club and wants to contact you then I’m sure the supervisor at the kids club can contact you themselves to get you to collect your son. I just feel it’s too young to be giving a device like this to a 6yr old, when my child is 11yrs old is when I would be giving a device like this as I feel it’s more of an appropriate age as they will be in high school and will be wanting to go to friends houses or play out on their bikes etc. with friends. My 7yr old is with family at all times and doesn’t go to sleep overs as I feel he’s too young and has a strict structured bed time routine, bath at 6.30pm and in bed by 7.30pm each night this is just how I was raised when I was a child at this aged and is how I want my own child to be raised in the same way. My child won’t be able to go to sleepovers until he is 10yrs old, again that’s because I feel that kids need to be kids and not grow up too soon. I know each parent has their own values in raising their children and that is fine, but I find it very hard to acknowledge why a gadget like this is something a 6yr old should be using. I’m certain their will be very mixed views on this subject... but you are a great mum and you clearly care and love your children as this shows within your KZitem videos so I hope you don’t feel offended by my comments because this is just my own personal views on this subject...

First of all, not offended AT all, thank you for your kind words. I think it’s great to be able to all have differing views on things, like they say if we were all the same it would be boring eh? 😂 Harrison mostly uses his if for instance if I’m in the gym and he’s at at the kids club or if he’s out with Mike and wants to tell me they’re on their way home. He uses it as fun more than anything. There’s no hiding that Harrison loves technology, but at this point I think it’s used it in a balanced way. But I also agree with you, I’d hate for him to be reliant and if it was looking that way to me I like to think I would strip it back. Thank you so much for your message xx

We love ours so much. I think they are so good for when the kids are playing out, or want to speak to grandparents especially over lockdown! My friend really wants one for her kids who go to their dads every other weekend, I think it would be fab for people in that scenario x

I think so too, I recommended it to a friend of mine in a similar situation too. Throughout lockdown it’s been great, Harrison’s loved calling Nanny!

I think this is a great tool. My niece is 18 now but i remember when she was 7 and missed the school bus and could't find anyone in the schools front office and had no way of contacting her parents to let them know. It was a scary ordeal for both my sister her husband and my niece. This watch would have been a big help and comfort.

I bought my 9 yr old daughter one of these tracker watches last year. As one day a week she was walking home from school alone. Definitely gave me & her reasurance. Most kids her age have a phone. Which I don't agree with. She will have a phone when she starts secondary school.

Yes, I agree I definitely don’t think Harrison will have an actual phone until secondary, this right now is a just an enhanced watch I guess, that helps me out sometimes and is a bit of fun. I’ve recommended it to parents at the school who like you have little ones making their first walks to and from school alone.
