Climbing above 7000m and 8000 meters is extreme! Your hands, fingers, feet, toes, lips, ears and nose are the first parts of your body that get extremely cold and are prone to frostbite. In order to protect our feet we need special equipment and especially great boots for higher altitudes. I explain which expedition boots I am using for my solo non oxygen 8000er climbs to Lhotse, Annapurna and Everest and which techniques I use to avoid frost bite as a non oxygen climber.
The boots I use are the La Sportiva Olympus Mons Cube (not sponsored)
