My Ascension is a new documentary that chronicles the mental health journey of Emma Benoit, who was paralyzed by a suicide attempt but used her painful experience to spread hope and highlight the fact that 20 young people die every day by suicide in the United States.
On November 2, 2022, a panel of peers and subject matter experts shared stories and resources to help teens and their parents and loved ones better understand suicidal ideations and mood disorders.
Panel:
Emma Benoit (Mental Health Advocate)
Greg Dicharry (Director and Producer of My Ascension and DBSA Board Member)
Karen Fragoso (DBSA Social Media Coordinator)
Lauren Yang (DBSA Young Adult Council)
Nina Hotkowski (DBSA Teen Support Group Advisor and Therapist)
