This makes me miss Dorset so much. I am from Poole and left to live in Alberta, Canada seven years ago. Met my wife in Canada and now we plan on moving back to Dorset in a few years. For anyone who says or thinks dorset is crap, trust me, the grass is not always greener elsewhere. I've travelled to twenty countries and dorset is the prettiest place i've ever been. Dorset is my home forever!

Dorset was my home for 13 years. I recently moved away from the Uk but wish I'd never left. It is my hope to return to Dorset and never leave again. Thanks for the video. Makes me want to come home even more steadfastly.

like others here, I'm from Dorset (Horton) but currently living in Sabah, Borneo. Despite the jungle and greenery here, I cannot wait to get back to the beautiful rolling hills and gentle, stunning landscape of Dorset (and yes, I have lived in about 15 other countries before this...) Thank you for posting, made me smile!

Nicely put together with an excellent choice of pics, wished I'd took some of them, we've still to explore more of Dorset and hopefully this summer we'll get there, unusual choice of music but it actually works, enjoyed it, cheers 5 stars

What a thing to say! I'm from Vancouver or Raincouver where it rains and rains and rains and... then the sun comes out.... and one realizes what beautiful gardens the city has... but it has to rain or else no green grass, no daffodils, no tulips, no nothing!

I have a job offer here from France for a short term contract and a pal showed this clip to me. I've always gotten on okay in the UK and even prefer Scotland. I like the physical qualities, the attributes of a lot of the land. Some of the most desolate places are also the most pleasant. I am originally American. Thanks, good clip uprated.

@Boncedoris- Gold Hill in Shaftsbury. Do you remember the Hovis advert with the boy in victorian clothes pushing the bike up the hill & Brian Glover narrating? That was filmed at Gold Hill!

I live in Dorset... in one of the dodgy bits, though the beautiful forests make up for the badness. The most beautiful things I think are Durdle Door and Badbury Rings, thats my opinion anyway, the other day I almost fell down Badbury Rings XD I would have really known what it was like to be a Roman failing at attacking a Celtic castle XD

Did you take all these pictures yourself? They are stunning!...proud to be from here- at uni in scotland, and everyone (mainly people from northern england) always takes the mick out of my accent- but idc, I know Dorset is 10x better than newcastle or glasgow! =D..and I miss it down there a lot- didn't think I would! haha

@allard61 And when a bit of rain done anyone any harm? if you've got a decent water proof jacket and a pair of walking boots, who cares? Makes it more fun. You may be surprised to know that Dorset gets a lot less rain than a lot of other counties, although the weather does vary depending on whereabouts in the county you live. Never been to Queensland so couldn't comment on what it's like, but I'm sure I wouldn't be out there long before I'd miss the rolling green hills of Dorset.

beautiful video. Thank you i love dorset too. i live here though i am very concerned about the amount of aerial spraying from the aircraft. it is ruining the rivers, spoils and people's health. i have posted a video response from Dorset. They are not contrails. Big difference.
