wilson!!!!!!!!! Well in ford v ferrari the villains would be ford corporate staff, specially the character played by Josh Lucas but yes, quite unrealistic. Taking that aside, the pace and racing of the movie was great but I would still incline towards rush since its more accurate.

@@TomasLomba both great movies but the thing is you really can't compare. Why?? This is a rivalry between two of the greats of f1 drivers but ford Vs Ferrari is literally in the name. It's a car rivalry. In the movie you are routing for ford pretty much the whole movie but with rush. You are back and forth with it. But both are excellent movies and I'm in love with both. There are no movies that match these two in motor sport racing. If it's based on a true story most movies are good.

The sad part, the Nurburgring's scene's horrific accident that happened to Niki and James tried tonwrite the letter to apologize. "I feelnresponsiblenfor what happened." The race wasn't cancelled although Niki tried to convince that on drivers' meeting. Those are the most touching scenes for me😭😭 A rival's concern when something horrible happpened to a driver. This shows the sensitivity of them. Love that.

Lauda was one of the most viciously intense people who ever strapped themselves in a racecar. Bruhl completely captured that. Hemsworth absolutely captured the playboy that Hunt was- while still being a real talent. Yin and Yang. Rip Hunt, Rip Lauda. They drove at the limit in an era of racing that prioritized speed over safety.

now the cars are much safer. i think we need to let drivers play a bit hard. we have lost the touch and feel of a roaring combustion engine and the way we play our lives with that machine. F1 fans loud at that time because they could feel that thrill that they could never have even while spectating on the track. it s all gone soft with the rules. basically if you win the qualifying.. you are like guarantied to win the race as well. drivers should be able to play hard to defend their positions and other should be able to play hard to get in front of that defending driver.

Making sequels to this with other rivalries is a good way for more people to learn the stories of Senna and Prost, Michale and Mika, even for people who aren't the biggest fans of F1. It would be really impactful if they make rush 2 and have Senna's death, and how that shocked everyone in motorsport. After Ford v Ferrari came out and was liked by audiences, there are chances of these movies being made.

Different sections of the film, when it says about the Hesketh, you see a white car with the number 24 in red lettering, the next bit mentions Lauda forcing Hunt in the McLaren, the red and white car number 11 with the Texaco/Marlboro sponsorship. Great acting by Bruhl and Hemsworth. Bruhl being the shrewd Lauda, while Hemsworth being the playboyish Hunt. Great direction by Howard. Stunning scenes such as pistons pumping and the tyres squealing gives an authentic feel about racing. But, one has to give equal credit to music wizard Hans Zimmer, to setup a mood for every scene, be it the laidback Italy or the Japan finale. Hardly anything for a person who gave music for iconic movies like Gladiator, Nolan's Batman Trilogy, Pirates of the Carribean, Inception, Interstellar and Dune.
