Maybe Wolf is not the best song to introduce someone to EXO, even though it depends on taste, but the live version of this song is a masterpiece.

It was one of the first song I heard of them, that's why I did that. But it's true that other songs could be better for an introduction 😉 Do you any recommandation, so I can introduce them to Juliette (an other friend of mine) ? I'll check the live version of this song !

"Wolf" was EXO's first comeback since their debut promotions and it came out in May 2013 as part of their XOXO album, so you will see all 12 members in this MV. "Wolf" was another one of EXO's songs that the mainstream public thought SM was making an even bigger mistake with. It was a song and concept that was too unique for most mainstream listeners when it first came out, and most people didn't really like the song or the MV. However, as many have discovered, it's one of those songs that once you listen to it more, it grows on you, and now it has become much more popular. When EXO debuted in 2012 the oldest member, Xiumin (Kim MinSeok), was 22 and the youngest members, Kai (Kim JongIn) and Sehun, were 18. Therefore, currently the members are 32-28 years old. Suho, the leader, is the second oldest, he is a year younger than Xiumin. Suho is the member that trained the longest before debut out of all the EXO members, which is one reason why he became the leader. (Xiumin didn't want to be the leader.) Suho literally means guardian in Korean, so Kim JunMyeon was given the stage name Suho because as the leader he is the guardian of EXO. So although they may look young in this MV, they really aren't that young. Plus, if you watch some of their most recent performances, you will see that they pretty much all look the same, like they hardly even age. You will see that Kai spends a lot of time in the middle in all of EXO's performances because he is the main dancer and center of the group who is also a sub-vocalist and sub-rapper. Also as part of EXO's concept Kai is the one that is supposed to help connect the two sub-units and all the members together, which is why he was given the power of teleportation. In the beginning EXO had 12 members and they were split up into 2 groups, EXO-K and EXO-M. EXO-K sang and performed their songs in Korean and promoted in Korea and EXO-M sang and performed those same songs in Mandarin Chinese and promoted in China. EXO-K had 6 Korean members and EXO-M had 4 Chinese members and 2 Korean members. However, since then, 3 of the 4 Chinese members have left the group (short answer to focus on their solo work back in China) but there is still one Chinese member left, Lay. (Any performances or MVs you watch that took place prior to May 2014 you will see all 12 members.) However, now -- because they no longer have enough Chinese members -- they no longer do separate promotions, but they still produce almost all of their MVs and main songs in both Korean and Mandarin they just now promote all as one group EXO with 9 members. When EXO had 12 members they were all involved in both versions of their MVs. However, the EXO-K members were featured more prominently in the EXO-K versions and they were the ones that sang the main parts of the songs, but if you watch the EXO-M version you will see that the EXO-M members are the ones highlighted in the MV and EXO-M sings the main parts of the song. EXO's slogan is "We are One" which means they are one as a group and one with their fans, so even when they had separate sub-units they were meant to be one group. So what you see in their "Wolf" MV is that all 12 members come together to form the Tree of Life and in the middle of the song you see how they split up into EXO-K and EXO-M and each group creates their own tree. How I interpenetrate that is they are showing how the tree has now been split in half and each half of the tree represents the two halves of EXO. In the intro to EXO's debut "Mama" MVs they talk about how the Tree of Life has been split in two and each half has been hidden away. As aliens from Planet Exo, it's EXO's job to find the two halves of the Tree of Life and reunite them in order to restore peace in the world. You should also check out the EXO-M (Mandarin Chinese) version of their "Wolf" MV to see what the song sounds like in Mandarin and to discover how the MV is slightly different. In "Wolf" the members are supposed to be a wolf pack. So the entire MV and the song is them acting like wolves. Everything in this MV says EXO, because as a wolf pack, they are supposed to be inside EXO's cave or the pack's den, etc. (Which some theories have pointed to, could be connected to SuperM's "Tiger Inside" MV.) The choreography was created to use movements that made them seem like wolves, and the moves, such as them showing their claws and bristling their backs and shaking are all things that wolves do as they compete for power and attention, etc. The wolf comes out of the forest (as he scratches the ground behind the Tree of Life) in the beginning of the MV and he is stalking his prey. Their prey is the girl that, in the song, they are talking about being so obsessed with and in love with that they can't help but act like a wolf and capture her so that no one else can have her, etc. In EXO's songs and MVs it is often thought that the girl that EXO sings about is a manifestation of the heart of the Tree of Life. So, that is why EXO becomes so enamored by her and so possessive and protective of her, etc. Protecting the heart of the Tree of Life -- or "the girl" -- is what EXO has been sent to Earth to do. I'm not sure how this concept was supposed to fit into EXO's larger storyline, but many feel that after the 3 Chinese members -- Kris, Luhan and Tao -- left the group that the wolf part of the story was completely dropped and it is no longer part of EXO's story. So we just watch it as a fun side story now instead. If you look up the lyrics for the song, you will see that the song is about being a wolf. The main point of the song is they are saying, I'm a wolf, I'm a wolf and I love you so fiercely that I am going to capture you and possess you and devour you like the wolf that I am. If you are impressed with EXO's vocals in the MV, just wait until you see the live concert remix performance of the song. You will be even more blown away when you hear what they can do live, kzitem.info/news/bejne/wm6Ly4eMoJuJoH4. "Growl" is the follow up song to "Wolf. "Growl" was the song that was the lead track on the XOXO repackaged album, which came out in August 2013. Once you have seen both "Growl" and "Wolf," you should check out EXO's "Growl"/"Wolf" Drama video, kzitem.info/news/bejne/1Hx53I6LjKCmqKg. Watching the drama also might help to explain more of the story in their "Wolf" MV. However, as I said, I'm not sure the story goes any further than being mostly just a fun side story now. Fun fact: Kris' eyes turning red will make more sense once you watch the drama version. On top of being aliens they -- Kris and Luhan in particular, and maybe Lay -- also are wolves. Just watch the short drama video to see what I mean.

Suho isn't the oldest, It's Xiumin(who doesn't like to be a leader) + Suho has the most experience, he was trained for 6 years. EXO was 12, but now they are 9 but you will mostly see 8 (coz their 1 Chinese member is on hiatus from group activities coz political issues between China- Korea and now he is also super busy as an solo artist, He is china's biggest solo artist)

EXO wolf is actually a masterpiece for me and I love the remix version as well but hey it's not for everybody but EXO has plenty of hits 10 years of making bangers soon to be 11 years with more bangers coming this year and in the future. First group in 12 years to sell a million copies in K-pop and the first boy group to surpassed 10 million album sold at the time of course they have sold more than that now. EXO are called the vocal Kings of K-pop I'm coming from the legendary SM Entertainment known for the most talented vocal groups and artists under the legendary company. EXO has some got to knock you out of your shoes they're mostly R&B but they can do anything and when you hear them live way better than the audio version of the song
