I love all those bookmarks [also how did i not know about indy reads when i lived in indiana my whole life. I do like Brad's Books which is in Lebanon Indiana. It's an independant bookstore (they have a facebook page)]. (currently live in Texas atm and I think it'd be cool to check out Book People)

Book people is the best! If you're down for a day trip for bookstores (once they're open again) I really recommend Lark and Owl in Georgetown, McWha Book Store in Belton, and (one I haven't made it to yet but really want to visit so I'm going to mention it) The Book Cellar in Temple.

I can appreciate a good traditional bookmark - beauty, humor, functionality - I am either too lazy or too disorganized to use them 🐻 I end up using a piece of paper (not a full sheet but a bookmarkish size piece) sometimes I will even add a doodle. I've used business cards, strawpaper, a bit of a placemat from the diner, a receipt ... To me a bookmark is like that stationary bike. I want to use it, I just never do 🙄

Haha if I didn't have my random bucket to put them in I'd probably be constantly loosing them. I'll use scraps if I have to (and, as you saw, sometimes they end up in my collection) but I love the process of flipping through my collection and choosing a bookmark for each read so I've become dedicated lol
