You'll have a blast, Barry. It's a magical experience, whether it's your first or your 50th. As frantic as the expo will be, there is a large screen that provides insight on the course. At the top of Heartbreak Hill, you'll know you have 10K left to go. Before you know it, you're turning right onto Hereford and a left onto Boylston, then the finish line. Happy running, Barry. 🏃♂️

@OldManRunner We're excited for you. You and I would have been in the same wave had it not been for the 5:29 adjustment ( I BQed by 4:38). Nonetheless, I ran a 5 min BQ 3 Sundays ago; hopefully, that's enough for next year. Cheers, Barry.

Barry, I really enjoyed your documentary of Boston Marathon 🦄 preparations and decisions along the way. I really liked your idea creating a long run course with some similarities to Boston. I hope I can BQ one day and if I do I will probably come and re-watch this video. Meanwhile, I am rooting for you! Good luck! Don't go hard on 5k, save yourself for the marathon 😉 Hopefully the weather will be good 🤞

Thanks Gary. I feel great but yes the heat got me. I’m only realising now how red my back is. I finished the review video hours ago but it’s taking an age to upload on Hotel Wi-Fi… looks like another couple of hours! Off to see the Red Sox play and it’s a beautiful day… so I’m in great form. Really enjoyed yesterday, as you will see whenever this thing uploads! Ran the race quicker….

AW + Stryd + audible alerts on the headphones are amazing. Build out a workout for different sections of the race for power, and get audible alerts to let you know when you are below or above power targets. Since I slowly ramp up power. 0-2km, 2-5k, 5-21.1, 21.1 to 32, 32 to finish. Thanks for the journey, and good-luck at Boston!

@@OldManRunner I have my 10K TT today, 4 weeks out from my marathon, where I have power targets for first 3k, then 3k to 8k, and then 8k to finish. Where my headphones basically say "speed up or slow down" so I don't need to look at the watch. You can also use the Stryd race calculator which already have the Boston course plugged in to give you an idea of power targets, which you can tweak, change temperature and humidity to give you an idea how many more watts you can squeeze out on race day.
