Disclaimer : I also want to add this note to all mamas who are breastfeeding as this can be a stressful journey and not many talk about it. This was a note shared by my lactation consultant and it gave some perspective - Galactagogues, or lactation foods, may assist to some extent, but milk supply is largely influenced by overall health of mother and the demand-and-supply dynamics. Regular pumping contributes to increased supply. Moms often feel guilty despite trying various tips; it's crucial to understand that supply isn't solely a reflection of maternal efforts. So don’t feel guilty if you’re not producing as much as you like to. It’s not you. Another thing to note about Galactagogues is that it supplements lost nutrition, preventing fatigue and health issues that might affect milk production. They don't directly cause an increase in supply.
