Are you certain that round hammered griddle is Lodge? I couldn't tell the depth or pattern of the dimples, but on camera it sure looks like an unmarked Chicago Hardware Foundry piece. That would be a great find for sure!

Nice collection. I had never even considered if my cast iron was valuable or not 🤣 Valuable to me yes not in general. When I got married (1972) my 3 maternal great aunts gifted me what they called the "hard to find" pieces they had. All three were in their 80s and didn't cook like they once had and at the time cast iron had fallen out of favor with everyone but southern women. They gave me a chicken fryer with lid, a cornstick pan, and round griddle pan. They didn't say which piece had belonged to whom just knew those pieces were about impossible to buy new at that time. They also bought me a new set of Old Hickory knives. Like most southern women my age, I learned to cook using cast iron, so I've bought new and acquired used pieces for decades without once flipping it over to see if there was any markings on them. 🤣 However, I am drooling over those copper molds hanging on your wall. Collect those too? I also drag home old tupperware as the new stuff isn't near the same quality.

Just saw this comment! How Nice to have old Aunts to pass down their antique iron. I remember when I was just starting out searching auctions and thrift store for Cast iron pan because they were so expensive and not being able to find but a couple. Obviously in the last few years I have had much better luck finding them! The bundt pan is my only hand me down. I almost exclusively use cast iron pans. At one time I collected those copper pans, I find them all the time! But not so much anymore because I dont have wall space.

Thank you for viewing my video and commenting. I have acquired quite a few more peices since I did this video. I would say my #7 BSR red mountain or (I now have a #7 3 notch lodge and #6 griswold) that are all pretty versatile size 9- 10 1/4".
